「It is a very beautiful hotel, and the front desk people were super nice. My room and the dining room were immaculate, and the food was delicious. There was a big selection for breakfast, and everyone was very polite, friendly, and helpful. Their pool wasn't open either, and I wish I had known that ahead of time. Even though it was 95 degrees, 90 degrees, or 20, 28, 29, or 33 degrees, it was still closed, most likely since it is only April. The only thing bad that would prevent me from returning to this hotel until it was fixed is the room carpeting. The carpet in the room was horribly dirty. (I wish they, or any other hotel, didn't have carpeting, and had solid flooring instead) Everything else about the room and the bed was comfortable. I wish they had real cotton linen, but it was clean, and the bathroom was super nice. I would come back again for sure, except for the carpeting.」

「We had a superior room. Room is big and comfortable. Bed is firm. Quiet. Did not get any street noise. Hotel is 10 mins walk from Meizhou old street Longfeng Lu. They were upgrading the area but nice to walk around especially at night. Not many restaurants around. There are local eating places where you can get authentic Hakka food. The commercial area of Meizhou is on the other side of the river.」

「Many amenities are not necessary and redundant e.g. mahjong table, living room, extra TV set. The welcoming music when I entered the room was annoying and I had turned it off all the time. Instead of giving free breakfast, they gave me free supper, which comprised only cheap dimsum and porridge. Very disappointing. Won't come back to stay at this hotel again.」

「One of our favourite stays was at White Swan Guest House. We had the most amazing experience from the staff. September 2024 We traveled to Meizhou from Shezhen. Being from Australia with limited communication we struggled to get a DiDi not realising we were in the wrong town wanting a long trip. We contacted White Swan hoping they could help us get transport. The lovely ladies Alice and Anna made every attempt to get us a DiDi so late at night and they had a friend who was able to get us from the train station. Once he was at Meizhou train station and couldn’t locate us. Alice suggested we share location on WeChat. it was then that we all realised we were in the wrong town. We had accidentally got off the train at the station before Meizhou, Xingningcun Alice & Anna were so kind and offered to help find us accommodation for the night as it was already midnight. We didn’t really want to because it will interfere with our schedule but there were no more trains.  The ladies understood and  said they could ask her DiDi driver friend but no guarantee as he had finished work for the night. She asked if he would be willing to travel the 1.5 hours to Xingning South Railway station at 1am to come get us. Which would actually have him driving for 3 hours for us. It was a late night but we are so grateful that they tried so hard to communicate with us and make us feel safe and cared for. He was wonderful and because of his kindness we reached out to him many times during our stay. The staff especially Anna and Alice were amazing. Thank you for making our first visit to China a memorable experience. The rooms were perfect, clean and comfortable. September 2025 Because of the 2024 experience, we have chosen to stay at White Swan Guest House. They continue to go above and beyond, and it was great to reconnect with Alice again.」

「I booked a room with a lake view, but my window was facing a wall and was far from the lake, which was quite disappointing. I also booked two rooms and checked in very early, yet the rooms were assigned far apart. It would be better if the hotel could consider placing rooms from the same booking closer together, especially when the room types are the same. On a positive note, the room and bathroom were clean, and the amenities were complete and well provided. However, it was quite difficult to find food options around the hotel. It would be helpful if the hotel could recommend nearby dining options to assist guests, especially tourists.」

「A 20 mins drive from meizhouxi station. Location is convenient. Going to the Jiangbei pedestrian street is a 15 mins drive. Next to the hotel is a convenience store which closes at 12midnight. Breakfast is only average. Soundproofing is good. Overall is a good hotel to stay.」

「The Atour offered excellent service. The front office staff were very helpful, especially when we needed information about local food and museums—they provided clear and useful guidance. We also appreciated the complimentary supper and laundry service, which added great value to our stay.」

「If you’re already familiar with ATOUR hotels, you don’t need to read this review, you already know how consistently fantastic their hotels are. This location is no exception. For those new to ATOUR: these hotels are known for excellent service at a fair price. Rooms are clean, amenities are well thought out and locations are typically convenient. Simply my favourite hotel chain in this price range and once again, they didn’t disappoint.」
