「It is a very beautiful hotel, and the front desk people were super nice. My room and the dining room were immaculate, and the food was delicious. There was a big selection for breakfast, and everyone was very polite, friendly, and helpful. Their pool wasn't open either, and I wish I had known that ahead of time. Even though it was 95 degrees, 90 degrees, or 20, 28, 29, or 33 degrees, it was still closed, most likely since it is only April. The only thing bad that would prevent me from returning to this hotel until it was fixed is the room carpeting. The carpet in the room was horribly dirty. (I wish they, or any other hotel, didn't have carpeting, and had solid flooring instead) Everything else about the room and the bed was comfortable. I wish they had real cotton linen, but it was clean, and the bathroom was super nice. I would come back again for sure, except for the carpeting.」

「I needed to stay in a hotel for 3 nights in Meizhou. The location was near many amenities and Meizhou has plenty of shared bicycles and e-scooters that are very easy to use. An exceptionally well done restaurant which is an old traditional converted Hakka house that conserves all the features is a short scooter ride away. Most of Meizhou's tourist sites and attractions are within a 40 minute e-scooter ride away. The hotel has a charming little reading room and the rooms themselves are very spacious.」

「The Atour offered excellent service. The front office staff were very helpful, especially when we needed information about local food and museums—they provided clear and useful guidance. We also appreciated the complimentary supper and laundry service, which added great value to our stay.」

「One of our favourite stays was at White Swan Guest House. We had the most amazing experience from the staff. September 2024 We traveled to Meizhou from Shezhen. Being from Australia with limited communication we struggled to get a DiDi not realising we were in the wrong town wanting a long trip. We contacted White Swan hoping they could help us get transport. The lovely ladies Alice and Anna made every attempt to get us a DiDi so late at night and they had a friend who was able to get us from the train station. Once he was at Meizhou train station and couldn’t locate us. Alice suggested we share location on WeChat. it was then that we all realised we were in the wrong town. We had accidentally got off the train at the station before Meizhou, Xingningcun Alice & Anna were so kind and offered to help find us accommodation for the night as it was already midnight. We didn’t really want to because it will interfere with our schedule but there were no more trains.  The ladies understood and  said they could ask her DiDi driver friend but no guarantee as he had finished work for the night. She asked if he would be willing to travel the 1.5 hours to Xingning South Railway station at 1am to come get us. Which would actually have him driving for 3 hours for us. It was a late night but we are so grateful that they tried so hard to communicate with us and make us feel safe and cared for. He was wonderful and because of his kindness we reached out to him many times during our stay. The staff especially Anna and Alice were amazing. Thank you for making our first visit to China a memorable experience. The rooms were perfect, clean and comfortable. September 2025 Because of the 2024 experience, we have chosen to stay at White Swan Guest House. They continue to go above and beyond, and it was great to reconnect with Alice again.」

「Even though I booked a no-smoking room, the room really smelled like cigarettes. I asked to change, and had to change 2 more times since all of the rooms smell like stale cigarettes. The final room I was in was fine, but lower floor and the windows weren't as nice. The reception staff were friendly when switching rooms and answering my questions. For the room, it's a good size and was overall clean. Every time you enter the room, the TV turns on full volume with a safety warning which was annoying to turn off. The room also had condoms for sale on the desk in the room, so I assume it is a love hotel. It's a central location in the city, but nothing too close right outside the hotel. Everything is about 15-20 min walk away.」

「Hotel is old and dated. Rooms are not very clean, there were dust bunnies and clothes from previous guests under the bed. There were cobwebs in the room and bathroom smelled. Staff is friendly and very helpful and would immediately address any issues I had. Lots of food options in the area and Wanda mall is a quick 10 minutes walk away. Overall disappointed with quality of stay for a 4 star hotel.」

「因看酒店送了二景區門票（茶田景區/橋溪古村），五一臨時改入住有客家特色的圍龍酒店（曾獲中國建築魯班獎），三人房在五號樓，離前台稍遠無電梯，服務人員跟車幫我們提行李入房，房間帶陽台，景區比預想的大，山青水秀空氣好，晚餐有演出，早餐尚可。橋溪古韻也值得一去（圖9），有免費景區車來回接送。」
