"We were not warned until about a fortnight before our arrival that an additional floor was being added. We were asked to be forgiving and that disruption would be attempted to be kept to a minimum. The external two/three tower cranes were not a problem. The work on the roof created noise and vibration at intervals. Internally the story was different where work was also being carried out to ceilings in public areas occasionally making making access difficult and on a few occasions downright dangerous. We had booked our eight hotel holiday in January, therefore we had too little notice to change anything. Access is tricky but a sat-nav copes well. Plenty of parking, four disabled bays by the main entrance, EV charging bays available. Our large, carpeted bedroom with an excellent sea and Lake Tanchet view was very comfortable. It contained 2 x 900 mm (3') beds, 42" flat-screen TV (not Smart), small refrigerator, table 2 tub chairs, 2 wardrobes, drawers and shelves. Coffee and tea making facilities. The air conditioning only produced cold air, even on cool days. The Bathroom was a good size with walk in shower. The breakfasts are excellent, oysters and sparkling wine give a clue to the overall standard with an amazing range of breads and 'sprinkles'. The indoors pool is heated to a good temperature with water jets and nick-nacks. Dedicated swimmers have a floated off area. The outdoors pool is excellent for a warm, preferably sunny, day with plenty of sunloungers available. The staff are pleasant and willing. We recognise some same faces each year. We love this hotel. We love Les Sables. We do feel that we were let down this year"

"A bourgeois house with a lot of charm in calm and in green. A true garden of peace. The accommodation is very pleasant and professional, the rooms are spacious but careful the lack of air conditioning can disturb in summer. The rooms are not suitable for the MRPs, but a great disappointment for breakfast, very banal and with basic products, is bad."

"Hôtel de grande qualité pour un Ibis celui-ci dispose d'une belle piscine, d'un patio aménagé pour prendre l'apéritif (food truck), de plusieurs espaces de lecture (bibliothèques) et même d'une salle de cinéma ! The breakfast is a good restaurant and the rooms would deserve a little refreshment but this is quick forget about the price/performance ratio I recommend"

"Picked the hotel off the internet based on location and other reviews. It’s a decent place with really friendly and helpful staff. The basic rooms are just that, but clean and comfortable. Upgrade to the superior rooms if you can. I thought the rooms were expensive for what they are, but it was high season so fair enough. Views are first of the car park (can’t help thinking the hotel should be where the car park is) but then of the beach which is really nice and only 50 yards away. The town centre is only five minutes’ walk away. Even better beach, with surfing, is only ten minutes’ drive away at La Terriere."

"This hotel was of very poor quality. The TV was broken, the air conditioning was set too cold upon arrival, the shower caddy was unusable, and the entrance mat was dirty and torn. There was a lack of tact and courtesy regarding the information leaflet. For a hotel costing €150 a night, you have to remove the bed linens and take out the trash. This hotel is not recommended. We didn't book accommodation for Boy Scouts, we booked a hotel."
