Location is brilliant. Check in was easy. Relatively clean room aside from the dust bunnies on the two bedside lamps. The room did not have any shampoos and body wash as it was used up by previous guests. I called reception and they said they will send someone shortly to get me some but it never happened. After two hours, I called again…..five times and different intervals and nobody picked up. In the end, I just used the hand soap….which also had a little left. Ordered room service and the service was fast and friendly. Food is dreadful though. Overcooked bland chicken breast and the calamari had too much flour that I couldn’t even taste the squid. Will stay again as the price was good but probably wouldn’t eat here again.

We stayed in a 1 bed lodge. The property had everything you need and the washing machine/ tumble was a great addition and we were also given a few wash sheets- bonus.It was also fully equipped with the little things that makes the stay more enjoyable/ comfortable such as kitchen roll/ tea towels/ liquid/ coffee/ tea/ milk sachets and shower gel/ shampoo. The heater in the bathroom was also great to offload wet towels from the pool. The house itself was good. The only thing that would have made it a tad better was a little bit more attention to cleanliness detail. However I am certain that had we pointed this out to staff this would have been rectified as they did with a request for change of bedding. On the flip side, if it had been overly spotless I probably wouldn’t have relaxed either with our 2 children. In all, we cannot complain for price we paid. The events put on was a lovely surprise as we didn’t expect this. This ranged from bingo, bouncy castle and a magic show. The different food vans each evening were a lovely touch. We only tried the chicken curry on a Monday evening and to be honest, we thought it lacked on flavour. The peacocks were super amazing wondering around and the three little ducks. Lovely location to go out and explore we went to Bucks Mill ( beautiful) Bute ( beautiful) and Westwood Ho! Also nice for a bit more ambient. Also, if you have children, the milkyway adventure park is a lovely addition and takes about 25 minutes.

A lovely hotel in a charming building with friendly, welcoming staff. The rooms were dated but very clean, and for the price it offered a pleasant, budget‑friendly stay. Personally, I would choose to pay a bit more next time for somewhere more modern, but for anyone needing a cheap and comfortable night, this place is ideal and great value.

We stayed in two King rooms with balconies as a family and overall the hotel has a lot going for it. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Exeter, perfect for walking everywhere. The hotel itself looks great, especially the sky bar on the top floor. The views are excellent, the drinks are very good, and the service up there was genuinely friendly and attentive. We also grabbed some nibbles in the downstairs restaurant and both the food and service were solid. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the balconies were a nice touch. Everything felt modern and comfortable. The only real downside — and it’s a big one — is the front desk service. For a hotel at this price point (and especially as an IHG property), it really let the whole place down. The staff were slow, not particularly knowledgeable (and I hate to add, not the ”quickest”), and quite short/rude at times. We were told when checking in that we’d get late checkout as IHG members, but when we returned later a different staff member had no idea what we were talking about and seemed confused about how to handle it. She eventually offered only one room until 12pm, which after a 3pm check-in really doesn’t feel like proper late checkout. We travel a lot and the front desk experience here was noticeably below standard. The rest of the hotel (rooms, bar, restaurant, location) is genuinely good, but the poor front-of-house service is what we’ll remember most. Would I stay again? Probably, because of the location and the rooms, but I really hope they sort out the front desk training and attitude.

ホテルは、徒歩わずか510分の駅に本当に便利でした。トリップ経由で電車を超値段で予約したので、これは素晴らしかったです。ホテルは、ブリックスハム、トルキー、ティグマス、ダウルリッシュなどのエリアを探索するのに最適な拠点です。電車を利用するのは安くて速かったです。今、ホテルのために-私たちは午後2時頃に到着し、部屋は準備ができていました。エレベーターは部屋の鍵で操作され、セキュリティに優れています。部屋は清潔で広く、スーパーキングサイズのベッドとバスアメニティとヘアドライヤー付きのウォークインシャワーがありました。必要に応じてアイロンとアイロン台もあります。部屋はとても快適で、とても静かで防音でした。部屋にはエアコンまたは暖房があり、メイドは毎日部屋を補い、お茶とコーヒーを補充するために訪れます。朝食付きの部屋を予約しました-強くお勧めします!温かい朝食とシリアル、フルーツ、トースト、クロワッサン、ペストリーのビュッフェがあります。お茶、コーヒー、ジュース。すべてが必要に応じて補充されました-私のアドバイスは、当日購入すると18 PP であるため、これを予約することです。ここのスタッフは、フロントデスクからメイド、レストラン、バーのスタッフまで例外的でした。とても素敵な乗組員と最も親切で丁寧でした。私たちはある夜ホテルで食事をし、ベジタリアンのオプションが1つか2つあるまともな選択肢があることに気づきました。近くにいくつかのおいしいレストランがあります-ヘンリーバーと地元のタイを本当に良い場所としてお勧めします。全体的にこのホテルは非常に良く、お金に非常に良い値です-この地域にいる場合は再び滞在します。

We stayed in a family club room with our 3 year old grandson. The room was huge with 3 French doors leading to large balcony & magnificent garden & sea views. The heated pool was superb. Our only niggle would be that because of the dog friendly nature of the hotel there were perhaps naturally dog hairs on the bar/dining room & the shower could have benefitted from a deep clean. Due to the age of the hotel we accept that upgrades occur as necessary on an ongoing basis. Parking was great & all the staff were helpful & friendly. We would definitely return again.

The hotel itself was nice; can’t fault it. Our room however, had a weird, stale smell and was off-putting, with no way to ventilate the room by opening the windows, as you cannot open them - A/C is not a natural ventilation. Bed was comfortable, slept perfectly fine, just not nice waking up with the smell, as mentioned before. Breakfast was good, although I’ve had better.

The hotel and area was fantastic, however, service at the front desk and the restaurant was lacking. We took a long weekend break and were excited to try the beach club, however our experience was dampened by the service. Being made to stand around for 5 minutes, whilst being told we hadn't paid (when we had) was unnecessary and frankly embarrassing. The restaurant was the most disappointing part of the stay. I'm the evening service was slow, followed by having our order wrong twice and also dropped. Breakfast at the restaurant was lacking compared to cheaper hotels that offer continental. Small selection , nothing outstanding. When we ordered a cooked breakfast, it took 30-40 minutes to receive some eggs and pancakes although the restaurant was fairly quiet. However, the room, facilities, and the spa were fantastic. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The beach club outside was gorgeous. The spa was perfect and treatments were, to quote my partner, 'one of the best massages of my life'. We're unsure if we would come back. Although the facilities were great, the service was mostly subpar and not what we'd expect from a harbour hotel.
