"Our very comfortable room had a balcony from which we took in the view of the lovely Rosalind Park in the centre of town, while sipping our 1980 Grange and reflecting on the Paris exhibition at the Bendigo Art Gallery next door. Yes, all very civilised though the disintegration of the cork necessitated the purchase and employment of a $2 tea strainer to separate the liquid from the floating debris."

"A simple one-nighter. Very well priced facility, particularly thanks to Trip.com. Positioned very close to an event we were attending, and close enough to everything Bendigo has to offer. The motel is definitely old and needs a full refurb. However, my opinion is that I can't see the value in doing this (certainly as the cost would be perhaps more than it's worth), and of course the cost to stay would rise significantly. Frankly, its age didn't bother us as it was well presented, clean, had pretty everything you could want, the TV was nicely setup, the bed comfy, we couldn't have asked for more really. If refurbed, I don't believe the additional cost would work in that I suspect the price would have to double at least, therefore diminishing the attraction of a well priced facility. I give it a tick."
