Rest, relax and refresh at our newly renovated home located at 920 East Ashley (AKA “Sandy Bottoms”), where you can "get away from it all" and take everyone with you! This is a spacious vacation home, which is a rare find at Folly. You can have the best of both worlds! This home offers ample space to accommodate large gatherings but is cozy enough for those who wish to capture some quiet time. Our vacation home is only 200 steps to the beach and 9 short blocks to Center street. Whether you prefer relaxing at the beach, surfing at "The Washout" (which is just five blocks away), or are drawn to the hustle and bustle of Center Street, at days end, you can retire to the peace and tranquility of your vacation oasis. Our home has a generously sized great room with a large flat-screen SMART TV, 5 ample sized bedrooms with new queen-sized memory foam mattresses with all new fresh bedding. Our home also has 4 full bathrooms.Our lower level is a dedicated 1300 SQF game room, 50 inch SMART TV, Poker table, Ping pong table, Air hockey, Foosball and a Kitchenette with the 4th full bathroom on this floor. If the weather doesn’t cooperate….no worries…you’ll still have fun hanging out on our updated, 700-square foot, fan cooled veranda. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine on one of the two wooden decks that overlook a beautifully landscaped yard. There are two rooms plus a covered patio and a concrete area for you personal use. You now can grill out and have fresh seafood, steak, etc.. on our brand new gas grill right outside your door. We added a small "Oster" oven one big enough to baked potatoes, pizza, bread, veggies. Also on the grill there is a side burner for eggs and bacon to start your morning off.When you walk into the unit you will find our kitchenette, with your appliances, full refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and our new Oster oven....sink for washing dishes and a large shower.Then you will walk into the bedroom area with a queen size bed, a futon for a 3rd person, a new desk in case you need to touch base with work , a new flat screen 40" TV install on the wall which can be moved for your viewing with 200 channels n free wi/fi provided by Comcast. And you have your half bath area. There are 2 separate doors you can used to enjoy your covered patio to relax, catch up with one another or just sit and watch the 'Folly's" walk by...what a site that is!! lol...Brand new furniture including a love seat, 2 nice chairs, and a glass table.Also we have a table to use to eat, drink, and be merry. It is in walking distance to the Pier and all restaurants and shops. The property is fenced in providing you extra privacy. To the right of the suite is a large porch with couches where you can relax and listen to the sounds of the island. Below is a large yard with covered area where you can find an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off yourself and your beach gear, a table to eat at and a tennis table. As front beach as you can get! Designed in the style of a Mediterranean Villa, the home's unique architecture affords panoramic views from nearly every room in the house. A spiral staircase takes you up through 3 levels. Each floor has it's own private balcony and plenty of doors to let in the light and ocean breezes. The architectural detailing and furnishings are high end. Designer kitchen features marble counters, a 6 burner gas stove, Sub-Zero Frig and all the utensils to delight any chef. The Kitchen/Living room is on the 2nd floor with the Bedroom suites on the 1st and 3rd just enough separation and privacy for a multi family situation. The bedroom suites are a delight. Both master bedrooms open to over sized baths that feature dual vanities and large, walk in showers. The house has 4 beds (2 Kings and 2 Full size murphy beds). The Full size beds are in a suite off each King... it may not be private enough for a separate family, but certainly room enough for the kids or another adult. If unique is what you seek, this is the house for you. FULL DISCLOSURE: 1. There are a lot of steps to get to the 3rd floor bedroom. 2. The Murphy full beds are off each Master Bedroom in a Suite setting with only doors to separate the Murphy bed from the main bedroom.3. The house is not perfect. We get hit with severe weather (hurricanes, corrosion from the salt air, etc.) We work hard to keep it up, but it's not always perfect. If perfect is what you want, then please rent 4 rooms in a hotel.
