We are close to downtown Mill Valley, Sausalito and Larkspur, 15 minutes to the Golden Gate Bridge, 30 minutes to Muir Woods and Stinson Beach, and 1 hour to Napa. The apartment is tucked into a suburban house in a quiet neighborhood close to useful amenities, Mount Tamalpais and local hiking trails, world class mountain and road biking. Take a five minute walk up the hill to a trail system that wanders along the ridge and boasts big views of San Francisco and the Oakland Bay Bridge.Street parking is easily available. There are 15 steps down to the unit. There is free wifi and Netflix and a DVD player but there is no cable TV. Mill Valley is only 15 minutes north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge. It's only a 5 minute drive to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area hiking trails, including Tennessee Valley Road trail, where an easy 1-3/4 mile hike takes you to the beach. Mountain biking is nearby and kayaking tours of the Bay are available in Sausalito. It's an 8 to 10 minute drive to downtown Sausalito where you can eat a meal by the water or stroll by the Bay on the Sausalito Marina. There are ferries to San Francisco leaving from Sausalito and Larkspur.A 45 minute drive takes you to wine country in Sonoma or Napa, or to the Point Reyes National Seashore.The unit is on the ground floor (no stairs) of a 2 story, 3 unit building. It has a private entrance.There is a family living upstairs so expect to hear footsteps above when they are home.
