KkelvinchewsvHotel location is very good, right next to the docking harbour for cruises and there are a few car rental companies nearby. However, we arrived on a very busy day and they only had limited parking spots on a first come first served basis, so we had to park quite far away.
The hotel lobby looked really grand, with coffee machines free for guests to use. Check in was quick and efficient. We quickly checked out the gym on 2nd floor, we didn't get to utilise it but the gym was very well equipped with Technogym equipment and even a squat rack!
The room itself was clean and spacious, it was cloudy and rainy otherwise the view overlooking the docking port would have been fantastic.
Buffet breakfast was another highlight, with lots of options and allergies / ingredients clearly labelled. Definitely try out their wide range of local cheeses, absolutely yummy!
EEddeetohThe location was ok. A short walk away from main city area. Away from most tourist spots too.
Breakfast is provided.
But unfortunately the sky was cloudy and didn’t get to see the northern lights during my stay.
KKa Fung KelvinThe best hotel in Svolvær even better than Thon Hotel. You can enjoy the life in traditional rorbuer. I stayed in number 30 rorbu for two nights, and thats the best position to see the aurora. It take around 15 mins to the city if you walk.
Will choose this again next time
WWatcherWe arrived on a wet day and got our room almost immediately. Charming cottages with ample parking spaces. Room is warm and decently spacious. Self service kitchen short on utensils... like no teaspoons, no racks for drying out washed cutleries, no microwave oven. A conventional oven is provided that takes a while to heat up.
