I had a great stay at the hotel the stuff was super helpful, amazing breakfast wish they could change it and give variety and special thanks to Ndumiso the Front Office Supervisor who was able to assist us. Definitely coming back in December
The reception was amazing. Stuff was very friendly breakfast was always amazing. They cleaned my room well. Rooms are very big and spacious. Completely worth it
This is the one of the best hotel of my trip in SA. The swimming pool is amazing and fantastic. The view is also very well.
I stayed in South Africa for 1 month and stayed in 10 different hotels. This one is really imprrssive. And I have view the best moon in my lives. I think I am even willing to cross half of the earth to stay there again. The room is not bad. But the disadvantage is the attitude of the receptionist and the professionalism of the restaurant staff are not good enough. Delayed the hotel's progress.
Positive: Clean and today appearance. friendly staff. Bottomless soda/ice and regular water. Ice machine on ground floor. Easy access to central town and the highway. Simple book in/check in process. Bar on ground floor.
Negative: No elevator. A little expensive for what it is(an ocean view with breakfast is the same price). No fridge or microwave in the room makes bringing your own food complicated. McDonalds is your immediate neighbor but your only option in safe walking distance. Nearly no soundproofing.
The royal palms staff is always first class from the front desk, Bar Mr Charles to housekeeping. The rooms is always clean and very comfortable. I will always look to book if they are available when i am in Durban.
MMegan SinghI recently had the pleasure of having my parents stay at this incredible hotel, and I must say, their experience was absolutely exceptional! From the moment they arrived, they were treated to five-star magic with impeccable service, helpfulness, and reliability. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make their stay unforgettable.
Their room was absolutely beautiful, clean and what a breathtaking view of the ocean! Truly amazing and relaxing stay - a home away from home in an abundance of excellence! The sound of the ocean and balcony view was one of many highlights that made this stay truly unforgettable!
The food was exquisite, with dinner and breakfast being another highlight of their stay. But what truly made their experience special was the attention to detail and the way the hotel celebrated their anniversary in grandeur. The gifts, chocolates, flowers, and balloons were a lovely touch that made the occasion truly unforgettable.
My parents were blown away by the hotel's excellence and the staff's dedication to providing a memorable experience. They left with lifelong memories and can't wait to return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay. Five stars isn't enough – this hotel deserves a glowing review!
MMiss T.I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch and had a mostly positive experience. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Umhlanga with easy access to everything. The room was lovely and super comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay.
The breakfast buffet was amazing, delicious and with plenty of options, which was a great way to start the day. However, the restaurant was way too hot. It felt like everyone was trying to grab a fan, and I honestly think they should either switch on the AC or find a better solution for cooling the space.
The pool was nice and well-maintained, and it’s heated, but honestly, it felt a bit strange to swim in a hot pool during summer. I think the heated pool would be much more enjoyable during the cooler months, like in winter. Another downside is that they close the pool way too early….7 pm is pretty unreasonable, especially in a place like Umhlanga where you want to enjoy the evenings.
Overall, it’s a good hotel with great amenities, but the restaurant temperature and early pool closure definitely need some attention.
AAmornrat Trisuksan”This place was an absolute gem! The room was spotless and spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, always ready with a smile. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a huge variety of options. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend it.”
PPinkGirlAnew Hotel has the best staff, amazing pool, wonderful landscape, and location. They are close to KFC, steers, fishaways- however the hotel itself makes the most delicious food and desserts. Thami , Sbo and Giraad were always helpful and did their best to welcome us and make us comfortable. Our room- 100A ( separate from the main hotel, which was amazing as it had the view of the garden and our own parking and space), did noy have wifi coverage. We had to walk to the hotel itself for network. If you do not have data or an SA Sim card, this can be an issue.
We did the following activities which were all in a 20 to 30 min close vicinity of the hotel.
1. Big 5 Safari at Hluhluwe Game Reserve
2. Emdoneni Wildcat cat Sanctuary
3. False Bay
4. Bayete Elephant Interaction
This was the best time of our lives as we thoroughly enjoy wildlife and the outdoors.
Thank you Anew Hotel. We will be back !!
