The Hotel was very oldy worldy, Lovely, with lots of history. The location was beautiful and quiet an ideal spot for the wedding we attended, the old barn part of the pub was lovely for the wedding, ideal. Now the pub, food was nice in the pub although my potatoes delivered with my meal were that late that id eaten half my dinner before they came out. Staff were very accommodating and removed the additional cost of £6 for potatoes from the Bill. The Hotel sections of the establishment is now in need of a freshen up, lick of paint. For a building built in A.D 1147 i suppose you would expect it but there is maintenance needed. Cleanliness was ok but needed hoovering around the bed posts a bit closer and a few cob webs removed from the room ceiling. Other than that it was a lovely stay, couldn't thought the staff and the surrounding area, lovely walks along the Thames.
It was excellent, our room was quite large and was very clean and tidy. The staff at the service desk were very helpful if you needed anything. The location is awesome, right on the Thames river, close to everything, Windsor Castle, pubs, restaurants and shopping.
The best was our view out our bedroom window of Windsor Castle. It was stunning. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Limited bar .service finished at 1030pm. Lift broken so all the fire doors wedged open to provide staircase access. Then no hot water for shower in the morning. We told reception who shrugged and said they knew, queried why no one let us know .to be told they are trying to fix it. Left at ten am. Didn't bother with breakfast just headed home early so we could have a shower
ゲゲストSo a group of us stayed here on Saturday, whilst upon arrival the hotel and grounds looked stunning, we were greated on reception and told one of our rooms were ready. This was fine as we were early, it was a 5 minute walk to the toilet, and the guys ended up getting lost, the rooms are a 10/15 minute walk away from the main check in; and it’s like walking through a hospital corridor to get to them. The rooms are very basic still with draw string lights, the water station was around a 3/4 minute walk from our room and no bottled water was in the room. At 3.30am we were awoken by a member of staff knocking and posting a note through our door to say there was going to be a power outage from 9am onwards, we were not able to shower as the room was pitch black and no water was coming out the shower.
On a lighter note the breakfast was lovely!
BBB1214Location is great, easy to get to and easy to get out either to London or the west. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Onsite parking is a bonus. Room size is decent, bathroom not luxurious but good enough. It also has a shower instead of just rainforest which is not very user friendly for showering.
IIrene YipHotel is older than expected but conveniently located. Room is pretty standard, bathroom is quite small but enough. Front desk staff were not too welcoming but did the job. On the hotel webpage it says parking is £10 per car per night but infact you can do hourly charge and it’s also open to guest if you have someone visiting you at the hotel. You either pay at reception or in app. The machine doesn’t work.
