The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating, the room is clean, when I asked for chamomile tea he asked me to get it from reception and he gave me a few, I was very grateful . Breakfast is not that great, no tomato, mushroom or hash browns to compliment the saltiness of bacon. No cold water around but still good . The location is easy to find but a bit far from the town centre, I was expecting a nearer than that.
Stayed at the Z Hotel for 2 nights - I would say the Hotel is stylish, compact, and in fantastic location. Rooms are small but well-designed, beds comfy, and staff friendly - perfect for a short city stay, especially with the lovely evening wine and cheese touch.
Indeed a great location, a little walk to down town! Staff were attentive, which is surprising, as they are very busy. Always, wait moment and I’ll get back to you or I’ll check!!
Breakfast buffet hit the spot, everything you need to start the day, fresh!
There are peak times of course so be aware, especially if you have appointments or trips… always the way (not staffs problem or issue) but guests do come together…
It’s the way of the world that’s nothing is a bargain these days, but have to say it wasn’t unreasonable, including breakfast for four.
Room was tight for four of us,but managed as out most of the day, always a challenge traveling with children, keeping budget and not paying for two rooms.
The most disappointing thing about the property (not in the hotel’s hands) is the car parking…. Quite disturbing to think with the hotels vouchers for 50% off it’s still £50 a day, ridiculous, just a hard pill to swallow…. I do feel for the staff as they have to deal with irate guest’s when it’s clearly not in their hands….
Would be happy to return, but either no car or find a better option
Faultless hotel. Great location. Comfortable and clean room and the lady on check in point was super friendly.
Great value for money and defo stay here again
Wonderful setting and decor. Clean, comfortable bed. Would be good to add a smaller shower with the rain shower as it was difficult to have a shower without a shower cap
Helpful and attentive staff.
Good breakfast except they had obviously ran out of fresh mushrooms and replaced them with tinned, would have been better if they had asked if they can replace with something else and they were left untouched
LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful.
We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest.
The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss.
One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go.
Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109.

ゲゲストIt was a very special reunion for a group of nurses celebrating 50 years since we started our course in May 1975. In those days this hotel was a nurse's home and we all lived here for around 18 months. We had booked lunch, the food was lovely and the service was amazing. We so enjoyed our stay, 5 of us stayed for one or two nights. So beautiful and peaceful, couldn't have been better. Benice organised things for us, highly recommend her if you are booking an event.

KKazovnThis is a bit out of the way but OK if you are touring the area. A rather faded Edwardian large hotel that is in need of a bit of renovation and redecoration to bring it up to standard. Our room was a bit small and showing its age. The staff were friendly
