I enjoyed the hotel and indeed the location, the food at the Brasserie was very good as was the service. Not a plane spotter but it was fun watching the jets take off and land at the neighbouring airfield! Whilst the room and facilities were good, the bed was an epic let down. Not really experienced a bed like that in a hotel before, but it had what I can only think was a well-used and past its best memory foam mattress topper which had a significant permanent dip in it. Needless to say I didn't sleep well. I only stayed for one night and waited in the queue for checkout and listened to the guest in front of me being asked how her stay was, as you would expect. When it got to my turn the receptionist barely said two words to me and didn't ask about my stay. I would have told her about the bed if she had asked. As I say I think it is a lovely hotel and I would consider staying again, however the basics of a hotel starts with a decent bed and quality of sleep. On that sadly they failed. The reception staff may need some additional training too as they did not match up to the superb staff in the Brasserie.
Stayed at Travelodge Farnborough Central for a weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the basics you need for a short stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out seamless. Location is excellent—close to the town center, restaurants, and transport links. While it's a no-frills option, it’s perfect for budget-conscious travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Would definitely consider staying again
