Jjiajia9We loved staying in this historic building. The hosts were some of the kindest and most knowledgeable people I’ve met in my travels, and they have an incredible story of discovering this dilapidated former school and lovingly restoring it over the course of a few years. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone who is interested in Taishanese history and wants to be a part of the preservation of local heritage. It was so pleasant to enjoy breakfast in the courtyard, and we slept well in the spacious and comfortable room. A peaceful and meaningful place. We plan to visit again.

ゲゲストFor customer service this was one of the best hotels we stayed in. The staff, and general manager in particular, were so helpful. As we do not speak Chinese, they helped with everything - recommendations of what to do on the island, helping with transport, making sure we were OK at breakfast. They really went above and beyond. The rooms were spacious and clean. Less than a 5 min walk to the beach. I would definitaly stay here again if we visited. Thank you!

ゲゲストThe hotel is relatively new as compared to some of the other ones in the neighborhood. The room we booked was nice and clean. Unfortunately, they don’t have a fridge in the room which is inconvenient. The breakfast included was plentiful but quality is mediocre. But, this is no complaints considering this used to be a rural area of Kaiping. There are a few variety stores in close proximity that you can get some fruits and drinks so that is good. Will stay there again next time.

ゲゲストI had a pleasant stay at the Manley Hotel during my visit to Taishan. The service was excellent—staff were attentive, helpful, and made the experience feel welcoming from check-in to check-out.
The location is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shopping options just steps away. Even if you need to head into downtown Taishan, taxis are easy to find and very affordable, making it simple to get around the city.
The breakfast offered at the hotel was great, though it’s worth noting that it’s entirely Chinese cuisine—something I personally enjoyed, especially for an authentic local experience.
The downside was the laundry dryer— There was only one dryer for 3 washing machines, it didn’t work very efficiently and took about six hours to dry a single load, which was a bit frustrating.
The Wi-Fi was also very unreliable, it would connect and then drop constantly. Even when it would work, the speeds would fluctuate.
Overall, I’d recommend the Manley Hotel for its excellent service, local charm, and convenient location.

JJocelynwongLocated quite far away from the city centre, but I chose to stay here due to the proximity to my village and people that I was visiting. However, it wasn't difficult to book Didi using the app, so transport not a problem.
Hotel is rather aged, though it has a grand lobby. Facilities and room amenities were basic. Was not easy to activate room wifi, but the hotel staff was helpful in connecting it for me. Buffet breakfast was ok, very local.
