Looking for a place to unplug (NO WIFI), relax and recharge? Superior Reflections Cabin # 2 is the place for you, right on the shore of Lake Superior. Whether you’re enjoying coffee overlooking the lake, a glass of wine on the deck as kayakers glide past or watching the sea gulls in the afternoon, there’s nothing more relaxing. This is a 1 bed, 1 bath cabin with a full bed and small kitchen with basic necessities. There’s dining table with chairs and 2 comfortable chairs for relaxing. Outside there’s a deck with a table and chairs, along with a charcoal grill. The steps take you down to the cobblestone beach where you can search for agates or read a book. An evening campfire on the shore gazing at the stars is the perfect way to end the day. This is a great rental combination with Superior Reflections 1 and 3 to relax and enjoy the beautiful north woods. Across the highway is the Gitchi Gami bike trail. Temperance River State Park is practically in our backyard with miles of hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Nearby you will find Cross River, Father Baraga’s Cross, and the Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center. The Schroeder Bakery is a great place to start your day with a coffee, breakfast sandwiches and bakery. After a day of hiking you could stop for a malt or pizza. This is a seasonal cabin open May through October. Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional fee, 2 pet maximum. Due to the location on the shore and season, water may taste salty. We provide drinking water for you.We provide towels, linens and soaps. Not only one of the most unique lodging options you will find along Lake Superior's North Shore or near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and the Superior Hiking Trail, but an absolutely one-of-a-kind experience! Our Tiny Tuloon Cabin was hand crafted by our Amish friends in southwestern, Minnesota and has a beautiful pine log interior, pine floors and a pine vaulted ceiling. My Mom provides all of the handmade quilts and my Dad contributed the wood turned items - it's a family affair!
There is a matching spacious log outhouse just down the short driveway from the cabin. We have received 5 stars for the outhouse!
Due to multiple safety requirements associated with a propane powered, off-grid cabin, The Tiny Tuloon Cabin at Points Unknown is not suitable for young children. Older children must be attended by an adult at all times and not left to wander.
Parking is next to the cabin after winter break up and before the first big snow. During winter months, you will park near our homestead and use a sled to snowshoe your things to the cabin. It is a short distance. Sleds and snowshoes are provided, if needed.
We LOVE pets and animals in general, but because we have sled dogs, you will need to leave your pets at home.

*Perfect for a couple or two friends and can also accommodate a third person. 1 double futon couch/bed below a twin log bunkbed.
*Full kitchenette with a small propane stove/oven, small insulated "icebox" to keep food cold (bring ice packs and not loose ice) and sink with a water jug and bucket below.

Can’t decide between a cabin on the lake or a cabin in the woods? Superior Reflections #3 is the best of both worlds. This is the perfect place to get away from it all (NO WIFI) on a peaceful plot of land overlooking Lake Superior. Access to the cobblestone shore of the lake is a short walk (about 300 feet) down the gravel driveway. While not directly on Lake Superior, you are nestled amongst the trees in a quiet and peaceful setting. This is a great rental combination with Superior Reflections 1 and 2 to relax and enjoy the beautiful north woods.
This 2-bedroom, 1 bath cabin has a full bed in each room. The main room includes a kitchen with the basic necessities, and a couch and 2 chairs and a TV for the DVD player and HDMI input for watching movies. The TV is not connected with an antenna or satellite, and is just for DVD viewing. The bathroom has a shower and a view of the woods. There’s a cozy porch with a table and chairs to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and look out at Lake Superior. It’s the perfect spot to watch for Ore boats off in the distance. Outside there’s a picnic table and charcoal grill.
Across the highway is the Gitchi Gami bike trail. Temperance River State Park is practically in our backyard with miles of hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Nearby you will find Cross River, Father Baraga’s Cross, and the Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center. The Schroeder Bakery is a great place to start your day with a coffee, breakfast sandwiches and bakery. After a day of hiking you could stop for a malt or pizza.
This is a seasonal cabin open May through October. Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional fee, 2 pet maximum. Due to the location on the shore and season, water may taste salty. We provide drinking water for you.
We provide towels, linens and soaps. Bring your bikes or walking shoes — the Gitchi-Gami State Trail is just 1/4 mile down Ski Hill Road from our Lutsen home. Recently ranked No. 3 Best Recreational Trail in the 2026 USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards, this paved North Shore trail offers a beautiful way to enjoy Lake Superior views, with current sections leading toward Temperance River State Park and Cross River.
Lutsen's ski hills are just a mile up Ski Hill Road, you can see the ski runs from the master bedroom window. This is the best skiing in Midwest! Miles of scenic cross country Ski and snowmobile trails through Superior National Forest cross Ski Hill Road.
Hundreds of miles of spectacular hiking trails criss cross the forests and mountains. Mountain biking and horseback riding are available at the top of the hill. Charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation home in the heart of Lutsen, it's a recreational paradise.
Our home was professionally decorated and it's very comfortably furnished. The master bedroom suite offers a private retreat after a hard day at play. There's a whirlpool for two and a private bath and every window offers views of mountains, trees or Lake Superior.
Bring your bikes or walking shoes — the Gitchi-Gami State Trail is just 1/4 mile down Ski Hill Road from our Lutsen home. Recently ranked No. 3 Best Recreational Trail in the 2026 USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards, this paved North Shore trail offers a beautiful way to enjoy Lake Superior views, with current sections leading toward Temperance River State Park and Cross River.
Lutsen's ski hills are just a mile up Ski Hill Road, you can see the ski runs from the master bedroom window. This is the best skiing in Midwest! Miles of scenic cross country Ski and snowmobile trails through Superior National Forest cross Ski Hill Road.
Hundreds of miles of spectacular hiking trails criss cross the forests and mountains. Mountain biking and horseback riding are available at the top of the hill. Kids of all ages will love the Alpine Slide just up the road. Ride the new 8 passenger Gondola to the top of Moose Mountain and have lunch on the deck of the chalet, it's a spectacular view! Golfers, Superior National Golf course offers 27 holes of beautiful scenery and challenging golf right across Ski Hill Road. Walk to the North Shore WInery across Lodge Lane.
Set in Superior National Forest with no buildings behind it, just lots of trees. You can also see Lake Superior 1/2 a mile away on the other side of Highway 61. Fabulous 3 season porch. There's a private fire ring to gather around for evenings under the stars and let me tell you, they are spectacular here. It's the ideal vacation home for families and friends. Close to everything you love about the north shore, but away from the busy resorts.
Once you stay at a privately owned vacation home, you'll never want to stay in a hotel again.

GREAT VALUE AND AMMENITIES. Very nice yet economical, efficiency (no bedroom) condominium with adjacent kitchen and bath next to the Bridge Run ski hill in the Lutsen Mountain Condo Building A. In Winter: numerous chair lifts and gondola to wonderful challenging and beginner ski runs. In Summer: hike the Superior Hiking Trail, fish dozens of lakes and streams, golf Superior National Course, swim in beautiful outdoor and indoor pools, tennis courts, bike trails. Spectacular North Shore of Lake Superior hiking, cross-country skiing, fabulous mountain biking, fishing, and countless other activities listed. Quiet, non-barking dogs allowed. Pet fee is additional $30 per stay.
Condominium is small, not fancy but nice with North Woods motif including soft, overstuffed, comfy, wildlife print sofa, rug and rustic pine-log lounge chair. Sleeps two with full-size Murphy bed. For 3, sleep on couch, for 4, will be a bit tight, but I am now providing a queen size air mattress with AC pump. Complete modern kitchen with appliances: stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, tea pot etc. Towels, linens. all kitchen utensils and dinnerware included. Deck overlooks pool and play area and includes two comfortable adirondack chairs. Cable tv and wi-fi are included.
Other amenities include both outdoor (Summer) and indoor heated pools, large Jacuzzi tub, and work-out room.
Great restaurants and shopping on the premises and at Grand Marais only 19 miles north where the famous Gunflint Trail takes you to the northern reaches of Minnesota and access to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

Located in the heart of Lutsen Mountains, you'll find that this delightful 3-level townhome offers a splendid kitchen and living room with a sleeper sofa, focal point being the woodburning fireplace, and a dining area overlooking the lush trees on the main level. (Free firewood located in the parking areas.) The upstairs loft bedroom boasts a queen bed and full bathroom with a stand up shower. On the lower level, you will find one bedroom that contains a queen bed and set of bunk beds as well as, a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo and plenty of room to stash hats and coats.
For the skiers and snowboarders, there's a locked ski locker to store all of your adventure gear right outside the main entrance of the townhome.
You have access to great resort amenities, including a hot tub, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness area, ping pong table and playground.
