"A lovely, friendly, and very hospitable family hotel! The rooms are well-maintained, clean, and (in the case of a balcony, which we had), offer a beautiful view of the village and the surrounding mountains. The bathroom, with a bathtub, was also spotlessly clean and amply stocked with linens. The mattresses sleep wonderfully; the pillows might be a bit too thin for some, but I guarantee that guests will be well-served. The cuisine was also excellent! The breakfast buffet offers something for everyone, both hot and cold. You can also choose from a selection of dishes for dinner. It certainly didn't disappoint! Deliciously prepared and generously portioned, and we were struck by the family's attentiveness. Special requests are also happily accommodated. More on that later. The hotel is situated in a quiet location. The dawn is accompanied by birdsong and the cows and chickens from the neighboring farms. (Certainly not bothersome with the windows closed.) The road there is, as you would expect in Austria: a steep climb with hairpin bends. There are plenty of activities to enjoy both in the village and the surrounding area. From several challenging hikes and a nearby viewing platform, to various museums in the village and the surrounding area, and activities like rafting are also possible nearby. This location is also ideal for a day trip to Switzerland or Italy from Austria. Within an hour's drive, you can cross the border through one of Austria's narrow mountain passes. The family is also happy to help by sharing local tips for those interested. This brings me to the atmosphere of their approach: "You come as a guest and leave as a friend." That's the feeling we got from it. When we informed them we would be returning late from an excursion, they offered to serve dinner in our room. Upon our return, we found a very generous platter of all kinds of local delicacies in our hotel room. A few days later, we received a tip that the so-called "neighbor across the street" offered horseback riding lessons. One thing led to another, and so, on the final evening, we found ourselves chatting and dancing with several villagers at a dance party. The feeling of belonging and being valued is immense and magnificent. I highly recommend this stay to anyone!"
