The receptionist refused to check us in, citing our reservation for August 7th. We tried to explain that astronomical hours don't coincide with hotel check-in (2:00 p.m.) and check-out (12:00 a.m.). A reservation for August 7th implies we have the right to check in for at least an hour before 12:00 p.m. on August 8th, but it was no use! She was incredibly rude, downright boorish! If we hadn't booked the following night, two very elderly people could have been left stranded on the street in an unfamiliar city in the middle of the night! Are you really that short on staff that you're hiring such rude people practically off the street? Or maybe you should run some educational program about hotel rules and etiquette!
