"Our room is on the second floor. The iron layer outside the window is opened (similar to the domestic screen window, taking into account theft? It can't be closed at all, it feels unsafe, stuffy, no air conditioning, no fan, and dare not open. There is no quilt in the room, Inside the cabinet was a mess of quilts, one of which was still a large stain. It was cold in the middle of the night and I could put a floor towel on my body. The front desk service is still very good, the boss is very enthusiastic, we went to the battlefield boss to drive us, 50 euros a trip."

"Lovely small hotel at budget price. Welcomed by friendly and helpful English speaking receptionist who provided directions to find our evening meal in nearby Verdun. Large dual aspect family room with double and single beds, desk, chairs and TV. Huge bathroom with spacious shower. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds and plentiful hot water. Breakfast was €8 for juice, fresh bread and croissants, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, jams and coffee. Good location a short drive from pretty Verdun and historic battle sites nearby. Would definitely stay here again."

"The establishment is located on the outskirts of Floing in North eastern France about 20 minutes from the Belgium border.The setting is very rural with a large pond on the property. The pond is a refuge for resident ducks and other birds. Fields of orchards and meadows with horses and cows surround the property. It is a quiet retreat in nature, well managed by attentive owners who will go out of their way to make the guess comfortable. There is plenty of parking on the property and all the rooms have private entrances. A separate communal room with kitchenette is also available to the guess. Breakfast is served in the main house, family style with local jams and breads."

Of course there is a small price to pay for such character, and you cannot expect modern lifts and to be able to drive up to the door. But these are also the things that make it charming - no cars on the forecourt, character staircases and even the chiming of the church bells. Relax and enjoy it all,"

"I loved this place. I was on the Motorway and the drowsy thing on the dashboard of my rental car kept going off. I had just gotten off a redeye from the States. It was clear I wasn't going to make my hotel reservation in Normandy. I found this place on Priceline. It was quite a ways away, but it was one of the most beautiful drives I have ever been on. IIRC is was 49 miles. When I got to the town where the hotel was located it was like stepping back in time. The staff was welcoming and spoke English. My room was beautiful. It was more like a room in a new home. I was in a building beside the main hotel. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Both meals were outstanding. My stay here was one of the most memorable events of my trip. I was in France driving the Liberty Road and retracing my father's footsteps during the war."
