"One room was too close to the road and was a bit noisy. In fact, there is no need to live in an apartment on the mountain. A cheaper one might be more suitable. In addition, the town is not big, unless you drive around it. Otherwise there is no need to live in the town."

"I normally do a template to review hotels, but this hotel does not deserve it. It was terrible. When I checked in, the bare footed receptionist said, "sorry, we have no towels, the delivery has not arrived. Actually, I am not sorry, its not my problem" !!! 2 hours later, our towels arrived. The room itself was clean, kudos to the cleaning staff. The problem was the people hanging around the rooms. They were obviously on *****. While we were there an unregistered vehicle came into the parking area, where a sale of something took place. I can only assume it was *****. The people circled our car numerous times to see if there was anything in there worth stealing. In total, 5 different people were milling around the hotel car parking area. To make it worse, the receptionist was talking to them all, so she was obviously friends with them. The place just gave off a very bad vibe. Although we had paid already, we checked out after 3 hours."

"We had a gorgeous couple of days away in the beautiful Montville rainforest. The Gatsby cabin was well appointed with a roaring fire to keep us cosy. The supplied breakfast hamper was more than enough for 2 days and the morning delivery of still-warm, freshly baked croissants was simply delightful. We will definitely be return visitors when we are wanting a romantic winter getaway. Thanks Shelle and Tony for your hospitality."

Limited phone and wifi service makes it easy to relax yet great hiking and swimming at your doorstep . The hosts are great we will definately be back . Montville is a great holiday spot with awesome cafes and bars ."

"Exceptional hospitality with gorgeous Balinese inspired rainforest views. Restore and relax with sauna, cold pledges, magnesium float and top it off with a massage. We didn’t know ourselves after this weekend I really do encourage couples to get away and experience this for themselves. Excellent accomodation and fantastic value. Craig and his family have build something truly special. You really are encouraged to take your time do things at your own pace and just simply take in the environment. You don’t have to use the facilities it’s a magical place to enjoy the surroundings and a relaxing beverage however I do strongly encourage people to try them it just tops the weekend off and allows an unwind like you would not have experienced before away from the hectic lives we live everyday. I’m hooked can’t wait to come back."

"Wow. This place is amazing. Very convenient location just a short walk through a beautiful paddock into town. The building is a lovely quite English Style. The rooms are very Quaint and comfortable. There is also a beautiful log fire for those cold winter nights. The bed was extremely comfortable with beautiful fluffy pillows. Laura and Tony are Outanding hosts going above and beyond to meet your every need. The breakfast was delicious and large. I would imagine if you had to pay for this in another establishment it would cost more than $30 per head. Don't hesitate to call them directly to make your booking they are very accommodating."

"We booked 2 nights at Starry Nights (for 19-21 July) three months in advance - this was to both celebrate our anniversary and for our last couples vacation before having our first child. The lodging was fully paid for and we received confirmations and a welcome letter from Shane and Nicole. On the day of, we reached out to them to let them know of our arrival time and never heard back -- we emailed, called, and texted. When we arrived after a full day of travel, there was no one there and no way to check in. We rang again and Shane never picked up. It's been two days and we still have not received a reply from them. At best, they are forgetful, disorganised, and poor communicators. At worst, this is a scam. Either way, there are so many lovely eco lodging options in this area and all of them deserve your business over Starry Nights. Don't waste your time, energy, or money with Shane and Nicole."
