We stayed in this hotel during our 3 city holiday in Portugal. Out of three 4* hotels (other two in Porto and Lisbon), this hotel was the most expensive yet we enjoyed it the least. The staff anf cleaners were amazing, the rest of the experience average. Nothing was majorly wrong but the hotel is just quite dated (old coffee machine, ancient hair dryer, SPA a bit grim - jacuzi plastic turned yellow etc). Decor might have been ”modern” 15 years ago. Also a short note on location - it is a 20 min walk through industrial estate to the city centre but very very close to a surfing school and the beach.

この場所はかわいいので居心地がいいです。素晴らしいサーフィンからわずか数歩離れており、リップカール店までも徒歩圏内です。彼らは毎朝とても素敵なコンチネンタルブレックファーストを用意しており、ベッドからロールアウトしてビーチにぶつかることがとても簡単になりました!私の部屋には、日の出と砂丘の上から波の音が美しいバルコニーがありました。私にとって追加のボーナスは、ホテルの後ろのウェットスーツ/サーフィンギアを洗うための指定されたエリアでした。クリスマス直前に訪れ、ロビーも綺麗に飾られていました。またクリスマス訪問のために戻れることを願っています!

Beautiful hotel. Immaculately clean. The outside area is fabulous with lots of space, a nice outdoor pool, a trampoline, play area, volleyball net and a skate park. The hotel itself is colour full and fun. The staff were immensely helpful whether it be finding toothbrushes and armbands when our luggage didn’t turn up, or offering advice for restarts visit. We stayed in a family room - there are five of us. There was enough space and it was well thought through with big drawers beneath the beds for storage. The balcony was large so that gave us a good outdoor space too. As the balcony was north facing it never received any sun which was a bit disappointing. It’s a five minute walk to the beach where there is lots of surf available. The beaches are beautiful and well worth a visit. The town itself is small but friendly and there is enough there to explore. The breakfasts at the hotel were delicious and always a bit of variety. As the hotel got a bit busier as summer progressed there was some waiting around and things did take a bit of time to be refilled. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a slightly active holiday on a bit more of a luxurious space.

Infelizmente a nossa experiência neste local deixou muito a desejar. Compramos a estadia pela Odisseias. Quando lá chegamos tinham-nos atribuído um estúdio em vez de um quarto de hotel (Hotel Katekero II faz parte do complexo e foi o voucher que compramos), o que seria excelente, não fosse o estado de degradação do estúdio. - Cama a precisar de manutenção e colchão super desconfortável - cortinas black-out que deixam passar a luz (antes das 8h da manhã era de dia dentro do estúdio) e uma das cortinas avariada - pelos na banheira, luz do espelho do wc partida - forno com peças a cair - itens de outros hóspedes no alojamento... O pior de tudo é quando alertamos as pessoas que aqui trabalham a resposta foi que já sabiam de tudo, até tinham uma lista, mas não podiam fazer nada. É o que é! Não há quartos disponíveis, e de todos os modos o apartamento onde nos colocaram já ia passar para arrendamento tradicional (Tradução: não vamos arranjar nada disto...). Se um espaço não tem condições para alojar pessoas não o façam!! Se não fosse pela localização e irmos levantar muito cedo não teríamos certamente ficado aqui!

The name is a bit misleading at it is in Baleal/Ferrel not in Peniche. People got confused cause Peniche has a street with the same name. I recommend not to book the breakfast ahead because the restaurant opens quite late and you might not have the change to take it. I could not enjoy 2 out of 3 breakfasts I had already paid for - the restaurants opens at 8:30 am, meeting for the surf session in the morning was at 8:45 am. So I wasted my money here. The Mexican restaurant is amazing, loved very single dish there! The portions are quite small so you have to order 2, but the prices are not too high. Waitresses are very slow unfortunately, you have to wait a long time until someone finally sees you. Kitchen and dorm were not the cleanest. Nobody used the small pool as it looked quite ugly and dirty. What I disliked most was the huge locker obove the bed. You don't have a lot of space so I hurt my knee a couple times at the sharp edge. Interior is nice, Yoga session was for free and quite nice too. If you are sensitive with noise be aware that the halfpipe in front of the house is quite loud. Distance to the beaches is fine, there are amazing deserted beaches behind the house (walk inside the second street on the right and climb down the rocks). Would not stay there again, I think it is overrated.
