I am absolutely mortified with this hotel and the service. We arrived late and beyond exhausted at the hotel after travelling all day. When we arrived the man at the front desk was beyond awful to us! We've never experienced customer service like this in our lives. As soon as I walked in and asked where parking was (let me add - I was very nice from the moment I walked in).... he told me to ”just go look for it”... I was so taken back. Then after I showed him the email confirmation showing I booked on Hotwire, he charged me AGAIN!! He told me so rudely ”You don't have a rezo!!! I cannot find it in my system! YOU MUST PAY AGAIN” . I could not believe what I was seeing!! I was horrified by the way this man was treating us. He screamed at my husband and I, and when my husband raised his voice back saying ” we just want a room we are exhausted!!” he SCREAMED at him and threatened to kick us out. After he charged me again, he told us it will take a while for him to find a hotel room, taunting us. I honestly wanted to cry it was so bad. Im so disappointed in this experience.

The hotel is in a fairly quiet back-street in Saint-Raphael, close to the border with Frejus. It is less than half a kilometre from Saint-Raphael Valescure station and a similar distance from the main beach in Frejus, and the nearby seafront has a very big selection of restaurants, snack bars, ice cream shops and other amenities. The hotel itself is clean, peaceful and has good air conditioning for when the temperature is high (as it was during my stay). Breakfast is included, with a good selection of cereals, bread, croissants, sliced meats etc. I had no problems during my stay, so had no reasons to speak to reception, but each of the receptionists on duty were cheerful and pleasant to speak to. The main door is locked between 12 noon and 3pm, and again after 8pm, but the card which unlocks your room door also unlocks the front door to get in during those times. The only minor criticism that I would make is that there was no wardrobe in my room. However, there was a rack to hang clothes on, and a shelf to store smaller items, so it was possible to keep my clean clothes separate from the ones I had used.
