A 10 minute drive north up the west side of the lake brings you to serene Lake Bemidji State Park where there's a boat launch, beach, and hiking trails.While there is not a sandy beach area per se, the lake is very shallow (3-4 feet deep) for a very large area around the dock, making it great for swimming and water activities.Beautiful quiet neighborhood right by the Mississippi River.
