"We recently stopped here as we were going to a wedding nearby. Location is easy to get to, from the A1(m). If you wanted to walk into Sedgefield you do have to cross a dual carriage way, so you do have to be careful. There is a large supermarket & an excellent butchers a short drive away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Inside the hotel it was very quiet, the room we had was fine, and clean. Due to being located just off a dual carriage way, it was quite noisy when the windows were opened. We would certainly stop here again, if we were visiting the area."

"I booked 'The Whole Hog' room for my husbands birthday. Couldn't fault the booking service at all. The room is really well equipped, everything was ready for when we checked in at 3pm. The hot tub was really warm and lovely. The sauna although not to my taste, my husband thought it was great! As part of the booking I paid for dinner, £35 per person allowance. You did then have to pay for drinks, no problems it is stated at booking. We both order the turkey dinner, which came with a beautifully thick piece of turkey. Everything was cooked really nice. My husband had christmas pudding for dessert which he said was nice but hot! Like it had been microwaved. I had the panna cotta again really nice. Breakfast was also really nice and well presented. Overall we had a wonderful night, the room was comfortable and we slept really well and had a good meal. All staff were really attentive and the place was wonderfully decorated for christmas. "
