"What a warm and friendly welcome we received. We arrived without a restaurant booking, and although busy they were able to accommodate us. The food..... Well, if it's cheap and cheerful and straight from the microwave you're after, you are definitely in the wrong place! However, if you want food that's cooked to order, beautifully presented and you want something a bit different and upmarket you are definitely in the right place! The 3 front of house staff were warm and attentive. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in that area again."

"We stayed here to break a long journey. The pub is a short distance from the A1 and seemed to be a much better option than a chain hotel on the motorway. We were very glad to have found this pub. The room was spacious with a super-king sized bed and good quality furniture. The bathroom was very clean and looked to have been recently updated. We ate in the pub. There was a good choice of food, although my husband is meant to be on a very strict diet and he struggled a bit to find an ultra-healthy option (but then that is the same anywhere). The breakfast menu was simple but everything was delicious. Worth breaking the diet for. Everyone was professional and friendly."

"A stunning resort with everything you need on site, set in beautiful grounds with spacious clean rooms, a bonus for us was the use of the pool all to ourselves for an hour at a time, staff were very welcoming and friendly, there was access to a fitness room sauna and hot tub and also lovely grounds if you desire going for a walk, I couldn’t recommend it enough and anyone booking here won’t be disappointed"
