I arrived late evening after a long journey and received a lovely welcome and an upgrade upon checking in. Both the hotel and the room were stunning. The stair case alone is so beautiful. My bed was super comfy and my room had a roll top bath and a separate rain dance shower. The water pressure was great for such an old building too. I also had a view of York Minster. It’s right next to the train station but also easy walking distance to the city centre.
Beautiful hotel with extremely clean rooms and lovely spa facilities. It was quiet at night and had all the necessary home comforts to make it an enjoyable stay. Thank you!
Room was good, loved that the leisure centre was open till late so could get time at the pool and jacuzzi even after sight seeing. Breakfast was great, nice continental selection, and a picturesque view from the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
A potential improvement could be the hot water control in the shower - ours was a Deluxe room with bath. The temperature was either scalding hot or ice cold - there was no in-between.
Having visited previously we were very much looking forward to spending 2 nights at The Feversham Arms. We were disappointed to see how tired the venue looked on the outside the sun was shining and we looked forward to spending the afternoon having lunch by the pool and Soaking up the sun.
The service was below par and the food was average despite being quite heavily priced. There wasn’t enough seats to accommodate the guests who all obviously wanted to do the same thing. The pool area had uplifted flags with weeds growing and the pool is in desperate need of repair. Having visited previously and been treated with kind and courteous staff I was disheartened by the attitude of some of the service staff, especially in the spa area and the alfresco dining area.
The room was satisfactory— not too big, but certainly larger than those found in chain hotels. The location was lovely; however, the standard room we received had a view of the parking lot. Due to the wooden floors, we were able to hear other guests walking around quite easily. The sauna and steam facilities were enjoyable, but it would have been great to have a bit more menthol or some options to help eliminate the smell of sweat. Thank you for your attention to these details.
ゲゲストStayed one night because of the marathon the next day. The staffs were friendly and procedures like Checkin are convenient. Great location, close to the station and hotel. However, the inability of the air conditioner to heat up made the room less comfortable. But I stillI had a good rest here and set a PB in the race the next day, so it was a good stay overall.

ゲゲストMy experience from entrance to reception was excellent, making me feel instantly at ease. It was clear that all staff members were dedicated and proud of their work, consistently going out of their way to assist guests. The breakfasts were truly wonderful and delicious! I especially want to commend Steve, the breakfast chef, whose outstanding cooking was matched only by his incredibly cheerful smile.
