The hotel location is great. It puts you in the heart of the city. The hotel also has amazing breakfast options. Definitely recommend staying here on a trip to St. Louis.
They put me on a floor with a broken icemaker that never got fixed over the holiday weekend. It's the middle of the Summer, and they didn't even leave a couple of bottles of water in the room to help start me off. Odd. Minus those two things, the hotel is very nice and within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Nice views and great staff.
Very nice room , good price and close to CPK stadium ( we came for a KC Current game)and other points of interest. Also close to dining options and had good on site parking. Accommodated our requests for river view and early check-in.
This is a very good location for downtown K.C. The hotel lobby very nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and the food and service were very good. The only complaint here was that the attached bar was very loud and the restaurant ambiance could be redesigned to be more comfortable and intimate. There was a group of about eight people at a large table near us that were having load discussion that was distracting for us but dealt with it.
The room was small but the renovation was very nice, bathroom was big with a nice tub/shower that my wife enjoyed a epsom salt soak. My only complaints are that there is no fridge or microwave to heat coffee. Also, they use the old style coffee two cup coffee maker as most hotels have now gone to keurigs. The hallway noise is very noticeable and the room-to-room noise is as well. We could literally hear the conversation in the next room. One thing that I really dislike is the lack of a ”do not disturb” card for the door and as expected, the housekeeper was knocking on the door at 9:00 a.m. to clean the room even though checkout is at noon! I'm sure there are much better and newer hotels but if you are looking for a reasonable place to stay in the heart of downtown K.C. this is a good choice.
ゲゲストWe seriously loved this place!! Other than the fact it just LOOKED like a cool place to stay from the pics, it actually was a really cool place to stay. My 10 and 14yr olds, my husband and I stayed for this visit. Husbands aren't that cool so he didn't really care lol ;). But me and my 2 girls absolutely loved riding in the elevator. You can pay more for a higher room and more for a room with an indoor balcony. We did neither but were lucky enough to get up on the 4th floor. The elevator is activated with your room key, and you can only go on the floor your room is, the lower level with the pool and dining and the main level (entrance), so no fun rides to the top lol. The room was clean and spacious. It didn't smell. The beds seemed clean as well as the bathroom. We LOVED the atrium feature, getting up at 6am to swim while being able to look at the sunrise and the clouds was so much fun. My girls and I decided when we come back to the area that we want to stay here EVERY TIME lol. Complaints are minimal and they are made up by how much we enjoyed the hotel.
Didn't care for having to pay to park at the hotel. There are free spots but that is very limited.
The water looked kinda cloudy... Which made me feel a little weird, but we got in anyways and had a blast. The floor of the pool is very...scratchy and easy to cut yourself on. My daughter scaped her elbow on it and when she got out it started bleeding a little. They need to refinish the lining of the pool for sure. However, the pool was heated and we appreciated that.

ゲゲストWe have been to a lot of casino hotels in various states, this rates as an average basic hotel. It needs updated in a lot of ways. Still has corded phone in hotel bathroom as if the late 1990’s. I’m sure it was an awesome place over twenty years ago, but it has not changed with the times. It was clean but basic in all the ways possible. The restaurants at the casino were good just the hotel itself needs upgrades.
MMacDouggalCan’t say it’s run down per se, but dated. Great check-in guy, and a huge room, but that’s it. The place is dark and dank. I’m attaching photos which will be more descriptive.
The worst was noise in the room starting at about 1 AM lasting over two hours. The first hour and a half we experienced basically sonic booms in the room. The whole room shook, particularly the ceiling, making it impossible to sleep, in fact, waking us up. This noise repeated Every 15 to 60 seconds for the next hour and a half. Crazy loud BOOM. We were on the top floor so someone jumping above us was not an option. Maybe the noise was coming from a room next-door where someone was body slamming. The last 45 minutes we spent listening to a kid cry in the room next-door from about 2:45 to 3:30 AM.
