"Not a 5 star experience. It's an iconic building, but the hotel is lacking in real style and the kind of welcome and care and attention that you'd expect at this price. The staff in general were nice enough, but the restaurant evening food was pretty awful. Tasteless and overcooked main and dessert. The breakfast options were poor and the breakfast room overcrowded. Not worth €25 for breakfast by any stretch of the imagination. The room was nice enough as was the pool and jacuzzi, but to be honest we had a better experience later in our holiday when we stayed at a 4 room chambre d'hôte elsewhere in Brittany where the host tok real care to make sure we had a great experience during our stay. No-one at la cigale really seemed to care. Not recommended."
