We came to Hilton Corniche for one night before continue our trip to the North Coast but after the very kind welcoming and professional way of communication by the reception team, the very organised and clean beach , the excellent housekeeping and very good executive lounge We decided to continue and complete our trip in Hilton corniche. Special thanks to Sara (HHONER guest relationship supervisor).
Alexandria is down-at-heel, chaotic and dirty. The Cherry Maryski should be at oasis from that. However, Alex is rather wonderful, but unfortunately, the Cherry Maryski is not. The staff are unnecessarily process-driven (for example, ringing you up late every night, when you are asleep, to find out how your stay is) and slightly begrudging. Everything takes too long. Check-in was at least half an hour, for no apparent reason. The food is awful and overpriced. The carpets are threadbare. The walls are literally flaking off everywhere. The lifts smell of kerosene. The pool is sleazy. And the furnishings and rooms are very, very basic! It is not a four-star hotel. In fact, it is barely a two-star one. The only good thing I would say in its favour, is the view. It is in need of a complete refit and probably a change of ownership. Alex has great potential, as does the Cherry Maryski, but at the moment the hotel is not living up to it. At all…
My one night stay at Steigenberger Hotel in Alexandria was highlighted by the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea and the warm hospitality of the team members. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff was attentive throughout. However, I was disappointed with the hygiene standards during my stay. The bed sheets were not as clean as expected, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Despite this issue, the hotel offers a convenient location and good amenities. Overall, Steigenberger Hotel in Alexandria offers a beautiful view and friendly service, but improvements in cleanliness are necessary for a more comfortable stay.
This boutique hotel enjoys a great location within the Royal Montazah Gardens. Rooms are spacious and include most amenities, and although there are no hair dryers in the rooms, the hotel can supply one on demand. The TV satellite channels do not include the major news networks alike Al Jazeera, CNN, BBC etc thus the hotel definitely need to add such channels. The breakfast was great and the service wonderful. The hot/cold water pressure in the showers made it extremely difficult and uncomfortable as you either get very cold or boiling hot water while showering, so they urgently need to fix this problem. We hope to come back. Ashraf El-Khadem EGYPTIAN EXPRESS
I would like to thank Mrs Joumana from guest relations. We faced some challenges when we arrived on the first days but she managed to turn our experience completely. The cleaning became perfect and all our requests were addressed in a timely manner. I also appreciate the complimentary gesture offered by the hotel. I am leaving the hotel as a happy satisfied guest.
ゲゲストThe hotel dates back to 1906 and has retained most of its original decor and ambiance. As it is an old building, there are things that do not meet some modern standards (room size, multiple sockets, windows, etc.) but what is lost in comfort is gained in ambience and history. Unfortunately, Alexandria is a very busy and noisy city during rush hours, which tends to compromise some of the relaxation a guest can expect during their stay. The rooftop balcony has an incredible view of the sea and the eastern harbor. This is a duty.
