"Negative Review: A 4-Star Hotel That Wasn't Even Worth a 2-Star Hotel I recently stayed at this 4-star resort and spa, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and far from the standards one would expect from a property of this caliber. From the beginning, problems piled up. The prices were exorbitant for the only available offer, and the situation worsened when, despite being a couple of guests, I was forced to book a triple room, with the added burden of having to pay for breakfast for the nonexistent third person. When we arrived in our room, we found ourselves catapulted back in time: a room that seemed stuck in the 1970s, with a rock-hard bed without a topper, a crucial element for a 4-star hotel. The blackout curtains were completely useless, allowing light to flood the room as early as 6 a.m., forcing me to wake up. The bathroom was in terrible condition, with stains and yellowing everywhere—a real nightmare. At 7:00 a.m., exasperated, I went to reception to ask for a room change. The response was disconcerting, to say the least: I was offered an identical room, with the same problems, if not worse, since the view from the balcony was even inferior. I felt cheated, and the rudeness of the staff only exacerbated my frustration. To complete the picture, in a property boasting a 4-star rating, one would expect a courtesy kit (slippers, soap, shower caps), but I found none of these. I asked for a refund for breakfast for the third person who wasn't there, and was told it was impossible because I had booked a triple room, despite my situation. The breakfast was sweet, with many frozen products. I tried a cream croissant, and it was made with tons of cream. The only positives were the yogurt table and the entire outdoor area (pool and sea). In short, it was an absolutely negative experience. The hotel doesn't meet the standards of a 4-star hotel in the slightest. The service was rude and unhelpful, and the quality of the rooms is unacceptable for the price. I strongly advise against this property."

"This B&B is located in the outskirts of Trapani and is very well connected to the city centre by bus. Walking distance is around 45min. Very close to the cable car to Erice. It is basic but spotless and the beds are comfortable. Modern bathroom and toiletries supplied. The shared kitchen was a plus as we were able to have breakfast when it suited us. Beautiful fresh croissants made to order by the owner’s son. The lady who owns the place is very welcoming and accommodating and very sweet. Only downside for us was that the walls are very thin and you can hear the other residents."
