The check in was simple and we found it easy to come and go when needed. "The hotel was perfectly positioned to access the locality, very reasonably priced. While fit out is relatively basic, rooms were spacious, scrupulously clean and everything was provided and worked. Beds were also notably comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, security measures were well thought out and straight forward. I had to check out early and to my surprise I was refunded the unused days even though obviously there was only hours notice, this was entirely unexpected and above and beyond."

"Kate and Joe at Route 2 Cafe and Apartments saved us when we were evacuated from our home in Exmouth for 2 nights this week (following the WW2 Bomb drama). They had one room available (Haldon) and were so accommodating with the last minute request. The room was absolutely spotless and so beautiful - it really did make what could have been a stressful situation, much calmer! Myself and my husband couldn't be more grateful, not to mention the fact I'm 7 months pregnant, baby bump appreciated a warm, comfortable night sleep. We spent 2 nights here and both had lovely breakfasts on Thursday and Friday before heading off to work. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"

"This  location ticked all our boxes when booking: fishing holiday for husband's 50th, relaxing for me with hot tub and quiet location. Jill and Andrew were welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble (not that we had many queries). First let me stay considering it is so close to Exeter. Although opened 2 years ago, the decor was as pristine as the website images. Both bedrooms were beautifully decorated, with comfy beds and en-suite bathrooms and had underfloor heating throughout the property. The lounge, dining area and kitchen were all nicely decorated and had everything that you needed for the comforts from home. The outside seating  and hot tub were undercover so even when it did rain, we could enjoy it still.  The fishing was everything my husband hoped for, catching 10+ fish each day.  And to add to our enjoyment, we had alpacas in the field next to us. They came to watch us each day and we took advantage to go feed them one day: the boys, the girls and the babies. All too cute, and an Devon Show Awarding male as well! A treat. A great holiday and everything we wanted from it! "
