"My husband and I had already booked 2 nights at a VRBO at the end of August/beginning of September. To say that we were disappointed was an understatement. We stayed one night, and the next day began looking for a hotel to stay at for the next night. It was Labour Day weekend in Bermuda, so nearly everything was booked. We came across The Oxford House and they had a room available, so we gave them a call. The young man at the front desk was so friendly as we explained our situation and booked a room. He was waiting for us when we arrived and assisted with our many pieces of luggage. The entire place was extremely clean, comfortable, quiet, and within walking distance to Front Street. We kept telling him that he rescued us! The Oxford House and its staff exceeded our expectations, and we cannot recommend it enough!!! We will absolutely be staying there again! Thank you for everything, Oxford House!!!!"

"The Rosedon is an extraordinary hotel. We stayed there for four nights, over Easter weekend, and dined at Rosedon three of those nights. The food was wonderfully well prepared (and delicious), at both restaurants - fresh ingredients and artful presentations. And the Easter Brunch was incredibly rich and varied. In addition, the staff at all levels demonstrated a level of care (I’m tempted to call it shared “ownership”) that’s a rare pleasure. The fact that the weather was splendid every day only enhanced our pleasure with the visit."

"Stayable but not great. There were ants in the room. The decor was dated. TV was streaming services only using your own personal accounts. Responses to complaints were slow, and housekeeping rare - 1 time out of four nights. The location is good though."

"During a recent visit to Hamilton Bermuda, stay at Oxford House. It is a really nice Guest House. It's not on the main roads of Hamilton, but it is a short walk to Front Street and all that Front Street and Hamilton have to offer. The staff is very friendly. There is breakfast every morning. In the afternoon, don't miss an opportunity to meet your fellow guests. Oxford House offers free wine and cheese between 5 - 6 and you have an opportunity to chat with others staying at Oxford."

"To celebrate our 55th Anniversary we returned to Rosedon to celebrate and were delighted to see it’s still the same wonderful place where we honeymooned! We feel it’s a hidden gem tucked in Hamilton in a quiet area but easily accessible to town. I can’t say enough about the service which was A+. Everyone who works at Rosedon is so accommodating, pleasant and efficient. We especially enjoyed chatting each day with Joel and Kash who were extremely helpful. We had a great week and were so happy to see Rosedon had retained its unique charm!"

"We had hoped for better with Edgehill Manor. The room had a kitchenette, but there were no paper products - tissues, paper towels, napkins or even dish soap. We bought these items at a local market. Learned the hard way that there was no plunger in the room. The toilet overflowed and I called the manager (who was not onsite) at 6:30 in the morning. She advised about a plunger in a storage closet, but it was too late by then. The entire bathroom flooded and we were bailing the toilet out with the garbage can and pots from the kitchen. She said that she would call the plumber at 9 am. We had previously arranged to meet with Lana at 10 am for a different reason. I would have thought that she would make an effort to get there as soon as possible given that there was an emergency, but she did not. I called and left messages, but she did not answer for a couple of hours. She had turned off her phone. When she finally answered her phone, she advised that she would be there late, at least a half hour later than planned. She also said that the plumber would not get there until 4pm, so we would have no working bathroom for the entire day. Absolutely unacceptable. We moved to another room, which also had dated fixtures and needed various repairs. The blinds in the bathroom did not even work. The pool was also dirty and we could not use it, even though it was hot enough to swim. The worst of it was her total disregard for the guests; she made no effort at all to fix the problem quickly. If anything goes wrong after she leaves, you are screwed. I will not return to this guest house and would not recommend it to anyone. "
