"My only complaint about the hotel is that although we had made reservations for three nights we did not stay the third night because of an impending storm. After talking to the evening clerk, we were told there would be no problem cancelling night 3 . The next morning, my nephew and his family left the hotel but did not stop at the desk.However, when I got the bill, we were charged for three nights. I talked to the day clerk multiple times and she reviewed the footage, which showed that my nephew and his family had left at 8:00 am. However, after many attempts and not being able to talk to the owner directly, I was told that he would not give us credit for the night that my nephew did not stay there. For 25+years, members of my family have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. I even suggested that we be given credit to be used in the future. The response was no. The hotel was not full that day after Thanksgiving so it wasn’t like there was a loss because the room could not be rented. It is simply because the owner has the power and like the Wizard of Oz he is hiding behind a screen and will not communicate with me directly. I also reached out to the Choice Hotel corporate office, but they were not able to help either."
