"We stayed at the Motor Lodge during the Karaka Yearling sales (20 min drive from the Lodge). Very quiet and clean. We didn't use the pool but looked tidy as well. No AC/Heat pump but fan with different settings. Little kitchenette with fridge, kettle, diverse teas and coffees and a microwave. Safe available as well. Limited parking. The owner and staff was always friendly and helpful. We use the laundry service, either took one day or once we got it back the same day. Would stay there again. "

"The best place to stay in Pukekohe. The New World i just a short stroll away, the rooms have all the facilities needed. If you don't like trains this might not be the place for you, they did not both me and hardly any trains go down the tracks in NZ anyway. Would stay again."

"It was okay but we arrived and there was no one at reception despite having let them know we’d be arriving at 8.30pm after a flight from abroad. No light outside reception so we couldn’t see the note that said to call them. Another guest helped us with that. We got into the room gagging for a cup of tea but there was no milk. A staff member came after being phoned, but seemed grumpy. Having said that, I think they’d had an emergency - fair enough. Then the upstairs guests arrived home and we had two hours of the kids upstairs running around on our ceiling - yay! Really over priced at $240 tbh. Dated but clean. I wouldn’t come back tbh but was grateful that they answered the phone and we actually got into the room after a very long flight"
