"I struggle when leaving a 3-star review for this hotel, because it has lots of redeeming points - but also several that I struggled to overlook. Ok - let’s start with the good bits:- Our room was spacious, with a good sized bathroom, and a huge bed. It was spotlessly clean. Plenty of storage/wardrobe space, should you need it. The iron & ironing board were much appreciated. Breakfast (self-service buffet-style) was fabulous & plentiful. The staff were friendly. The not-so-good:- The over powering smell of air freshener hit us in the corridors, and became even stronger as we entered our room. It actually gave me a headache after a while. Whilst the bathroom looked great, using the shower (over bath) was anything but. As you step into the bath, you realise how thin the plastic is that it’s made from - it bends and undulates, and feels genuinely quite unsafe. Also - if you need a hairdryer, consider bringing your own from home. The one in the bathroom barely has enough power to move your hair. Finally, there is no mirror above the dressing table because they’ve hung the TV there. Instead, there’s just a little portable mirror which isn’t much use. So, in short, the smell alone would be enough to put me off returning (yet could be so easy to rectify)"
