II was thoroughly impressed by my stay at Mercure Dongtai Huanghai Forest Park! The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The entire property was impeccably clean, making my stay even more enjoyable. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. They went the extra mile by offering assistance proactively—whether guiding me or simply checking in to ensure everything was perfect. Their attentiveness added a personal touch that made me feel truly valued as a guest. I was also deeply impressed by their honesty and efficiency. When I realized I had left an item behind, I called the hotel, and 小徐 (Xiao Xu) at the front desk confirmed within seconds that it had been safely kept. She even arranged for it to be delivered to me the very next day—such outstanding service! Thanks to this wonderful experience, I will definitely choose Mercure hotels again in the future. Our stay there was enjoyable. One of our only notes for improvement was about the safe in our room not being ready ahead of time. Luckily the staff assisted in getting a new one, as the one in our room was not working, but they had to go through three broken ones just to find one that worked. Another note would be about the lack of air conditioning in the elevator and hallway. They set front desk in the 4th floor , but put gym and laundry room in the 1st floor where is no air conditioning and no security, the 1st floor is open access to anyone which made me nervous while doing laundry in the might.

I really enjoyed this hotel--great value for the condition/location of the rooms. They are more like apartments in houses. The hotel and surrounding area is very clean, quiet, and beautiful especially at night with the lights. The hotel staff was very helpful in picking me up late at night as well as ensuring I got a taxi and got to the train station when I checked out. Xiao Xue, who works at the front desk, even accompanied me to the train station an hour's drive away in Yancheng. She also made sure my belongings were stored from noon-6pm after I checked out and was exploring the area. Two of the other front desk also helped me as well. As the location of the hotel is quite rural, I would recommend getting a taxi from the front desk well ahead of your departure time if you are leaving by bus or train.
