Court House square is only 5 blocks, walking distance of nightlife, restaurants, shopping, and historic sites. Bardstown is the "Heart of Bourbon Country" with Heaven Hill Distillery, Maker's Mark. Jim Beam, Four Roses Distillery and more. New kitchen, smart TV, computer desk, usb charging station , free Wi-fi.
The house is homey with a large living room, dinning room, kitchen, patio, coffee bar and computer desk with charging station, wifi, 40-Inch Smart LED Television , DVD player and 80 DVD movies titles. Be one of the first to stay in this newly available, private, cottage-like unit located on the main level in the rear of a beautiful restored Victorian home. Situated in the historic district of downtown, it’s a one block stroll to many shops, restaurants and attractions of Bardstown. Offering a private entrance off a covered patio, perfect for enjoying afternoon cocktails and morning coffee. It’s spacious, newly renovated, and very tastefully decorated. Everything you need. Perfect for couples!
The space
This space will provide you the luxury of staying in a home with the privacy of a hotel. Amenities include: free wifi, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, 76" screen TV, private bath, washer/dryer, self-controlled AC/heat, hairdryer, iron, bidet, private entrance, free street/private parking and a large private back porch for guests. AND, if you forget something, just text me and I'll be happy to accommodate you with the forgotten item.
Guest access
You'll have a private bathroom, laundry area, and back porch and of course room. You may see a neighbor in their yard or myself coming in from the grocery, but your stay will be as private as YOU choose. Your room has keyless entry to make it even more private. Street parking is available, or park in the rear of the residence if that works better for you.

I absolutely love living in downtown Bardstown. The convenience of walking downtown to shop or eat never gets old. Bourbon Oak Hideaway 2 offers an oversized two bedroom two and an half bath apartment style home away from home in historic Bardstown. Located within easy walking distance of historic Bardstown and right in the midst of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The unit is located on the second story adjacent to our Bourbon Oak Hideaway 1 and Bourbon Oak Loft and next door to Bourbon Oak Smokehouse Cottage. Our owners occupy and live on the first floor level of the building. Guest will have full access to the entire unit. This is a historic building where we have tried to add some modern conveniences to offer our guest an exceptional stay. Bourbon Oak Hideaway 2 offers an oversized two bedroom and two and half bath apartment style home away from home. Each large bedroom has a queen size bed and the main living area has a pull out couch if you need a little extra room. You will find a fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils should you decide to cook in. We provide a full laundry room which comes in handy for longer stays. Stay with us in Bardstown, named one of "the most beautiful small towns in America." Our cottage is located just three blocks from downtown restaurants, shops, family activities and nightlife. Located on the Bourbon Trail, you are steps from Barton's Distillery and a short drive from several other popular distilleries. Churchill Downs, Keeneland, Mammoth Cave National Park and other popular attractions are within an hours drive making this cottage the perfect base for exploring Kentucky.
This fully renovated home sleeps up to 4 people in two queen beds. The first floor features the master bedroom, living room, kitchen, office area and bathroom with a walk in shower and washer and dryer. The second floor is devoted to the second bedroom and a private sitting area. Local cable TV and wifi (for streaming from your accounts) are provided. You can enjoy the outdoors on our front porch or deck with a dining area and grill. Enjoy your morning coffee or a nightcap from our drink station.

Welcome to Bourbon Oak Properties, where history meets comfort in the heart of Bardstown, KY. Six years of hosting experience, we specialize in providing exceptional stays for groups ranging from 2 to 18 guests.
Our journey began as a small family-owned operation, driven by a deep appreciation for the rich heritage of Kentucky Bourbon and the need for warm, welcoming accommodations in the “Bourbon Capital of the World.”
Our parents, Robert “Bobby” and Carol Simpson, recognized the growing demand for affordable, temporary housing as Kentucky Bourbon gained popularity. They lovingly restored and transformed historic properties to create unique, comfortable stays that provide a true “home away from home” experience. Bourbon Oak Smokehouse Cottage offers an opportunity to step back in history in the historic town of Bardstown. Located within easy walking distance of historic Bardstown and right in the midst of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Our Smokehouse Cottage sits on part of a 3,000 acre grant of land awarded to Colonel Samuel Bealmear following his service in the American Revolutionary War. The cottage was built in 1825 as a wedding gift from Colonel Bealmear when his oldest daughter, Ruth married Joseph Brown. Colonel Bealmear’s wedding gift also included 950 acres from his original 3,000 acres which became the Oaklawn Plantation. The Smokehouse Cottage received its name when it was converted to a “meat house” for the plantation. You can still see the pegs in the large beams of the Cottage. Guest will have full access to the entire home. This is a historic building where we have tried to add some modern conveniences to offer our guest an exceptional stay. A king size bed is located on the second floor and is accessed by a narrow stairway. Additional guest can sleep on the pull out couch sleeper. A fully functional kitchen leads to a fenced in back yard with a beautiful view. We offer a washer and dryer which come in handy for longer term stays. Relax on the back patio and watch the sunset. *Lower Level Only* - This house is available separately as a 3bd/2ba rental. For travelers who do not need the two bedrooms and second bathroom upstairs, we are making the lower level of the house available for weekday rental by itself. You will have the privacy of the entire house, but access to the upstairs will be roped off. This allows us to be more efficient in our cleaning and offer the house at a lower price.
Get ready to relax in this pleasant 1-bedroom house in Bardstown. This tranquil retreat features 1 queen bed, a cozy living room with a sofa bed, and all the essentials like a washing machine, AC, and WiFi.
