"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was warm and cosy. The staff recommended we visit Dumfries House and do the tour. It was really interesting."

"Stayed for 2 nights for anniversary, hotel was alright but needs renovating in a lot of area. The paper on the walls throughout the hotel had bubble marks on them found it a Bit tacky. We stayed in a garden suite room which had recently been done up, it was lovely but didn’t like the fact it was 2 single beds with 2 single mattresses pushed together. The bed was really uncomfortable and didn’t sleep well at all. Had 2 nights away from the kids and enjoyed a bath both nights, but the plug didn’t drain with the dial to unlock it had to fight with the plug to drain the bath. There was also slight mouldy mess around the bottom of the tiles & the trim of the dial where you drain the bath. The hotel was nice and food was good, but very very boring nothing to do. Wouldn’t return"
