"The room looks a bit old, but it has all the basic amenities. The hot water was hot enough and the water pressure was strong. The only downside was that we found quite a lot of hair on the bed sheets, which was unpleasant and made it seem like they hadn’t been changed. However, after informing the staff, they responded quickly and replaced the sheets with clean ones. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but cleanliness could be improved."

"Horizon holiday apartments were great. It was spacious, had a comfortable bed, good size deck, it had all the facilities we needed, including the full size kitchen. A minor computer hiccup on check-in was swiftly solved. My special request for a non-perfumed apartment due to being highly allergic, was managed very well. Narelle who dealt with the check in was super friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable holiday in Narooma."

"I booked this hotel because there weren't many hotels nearby during peak season. Be careful, fellow travelers! No one checked in; you have to use a check-in code. Before checking in, I saw someone on my drive saying their system was down and they hadn't received their check-in code. Sure enough, I encountered the same problem. I called the front desk four or five times, but no one answered! I didn't receive a check-in code notification even after check-in time had passed! I only received it two hours after complaining to Ctrip customer service. What a rip-off!"

"It is great that the Whale allows dogs in some rooms, but that is about it. The room smelt terribly of overpowering disinfectant when we moved in. Nobody at reception, phone not answered, email not answered. Left both doors open for several hours and it became barely tolerable. Then we tried to watch TV, SBS only, aerial no good for any other stations. Hard to see how a motel that gives no way for a guest to contact them can stay in business. "
