"Overall, everything was good except for one issue. We had booked the hotel for 4 nights, but due to an unexpected emergency, we had to check out one night early. Unfortunately, the hotel management did not provide any refund for the unused night, which amounted to approximately RMB 1,500 (around ₹20,000). What disappointed me most was the management’s attitude regarding the cancellation request. I also submitted refund requests through Trip.com twice, but both were rejected. le the stay itself was satisfactory, the lack of flexibility and customer support in handling an emergency situation left a very negative impression."

"It's not ooty at all and it’s not a resort, may be a mini resort. I found it very unprofessional of them as they weren't yet ready to welcome guests since it was under construction. I don’t think they have trained staff to look after their guest . They've got a fancy menu card, but there's nothing in the kitchen. After taking your order, they'll come back and say, "sorrrry sir, we don't have what you ordered..." and sell you something random you may not like, but you had to get because it's the limited options."

"*) We stayed here in June 2026 and, overall, had a wonderful experience. The property is stunning, exceptionally well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful greenery, making it a perfect place to unwind. *) The complimentary Ooty apples, soft drinks stocked in the refrigerator, jackfruit chips, and ample drinking water were thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. *) Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. It included both a private balcony and a sit-out area, allowing us to fully enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding meadows and valleys. Watching clouds drift across the landscape was one of the highlights of our stay. *) The entire property is incredibly photogenic and "Instagram-worthy." The views from the restaurant are particularly spectacular, and the swimming pool was crystal clear and impeccably maintained. *) There are plenty of recreational options available, including outdoor games, swings, nature walks, evening Housie sessions, and several other activities, some complimentary and some paid. *) A common bonfire is lit every evening around 7:00 PM. During rainy weather, it is thoughtfully relocated closer to the reception area so guests can continue to enjoy it. *) The complimentary high tea served at 5:00 PM deserves special mention. After a long journey, it was exactly what we needed on the day of our arrival. The spread was surprisingly extensive, and everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-prepared. My mother still fondly remembers the Mirchi Pakodas and sandwiches served there. *) Breakfast was included in our package and featured an extensive spread with plenty of variety. The food was consistently delicious, and the restaurant staff were efficient, attentive, and quick to clear tables. *) We also tried the dinner buffet and were equally impressed with the quality and variety of dishes on offer. The only area that could use improvement is the dessert section, which would benefit from a wider selection of traditional Indian sweets. *) The hospitality throughout the property was outstanding. Most staff members were warm, courteous, and genuinely eager to help. Requests were handled promptly, and the service contributed significantly to the overall experience. *) Nature lovers will particularly appreciate this property. The lush gardens, abundant birdlife, and peaceful surroundings create a serene atmosphere. Waking up each morning to the sound of birds chirping was incredibly relaxing. *) Guests staying with drivers will be pleased to know that, according to our driver, complimentary accommodation and meals were provided, and he was quite satisfied with both. *) Hotel guests are also entitled to a 10% discount on the buffet, so it is worth asking about this when dining. Areas for Improvement: *) The reception experience was inconsistent. While check-in was efficient, the staff member assisting us seemed unfamiliar with several basic room features. For example, "

The property is situated in limited land with less space for parking. And the property doesnt have much space to roam around. The view from all rooms are good. "King's Cliff was recommended as a good place to view the sunset over Ooty with drinks and snacks. We were a group of keen photographers, so the idea of an interesting heritage hotel to view and photograph the sunset sounded great. However, on arrival we found the view very limited from the restaurant area near the cliff due to growth of trees, and were told we could not use cameras to take photographs -- only mobile phones. The inside bar had an interesting heritage atmosphere, but no views. We stayed for a round of drinks only. The gardens looked very attractive."
