"Planned a very last minute trip here with a group of friends. The grounds were stunning and the staff was wonderful and kind. We stayed in the tree houses so we got a full nature experience. Really enjoyed the activities, particularly horse back riding and clay shooting. The staff @ laurel bar made our trip. Food was not pretentious and very good. Don't sleep on the observatory star gazing experience-- very cool! Would definitely come back for a relaxing weekend."

"Check-in was a problem. When I got there and called to check-in the person I talked to said that my card had been declined and that I owed $30 some more and wanted me to give card information. I said that I had a printed confirmation in my hand from Trip.com that stated that it had been paid. After about 15-20 minutes and after I had given the booking confirmation number, the lady put me on hold and came back and said it was fine and gave me the room code. Otherwise, it was nice."

"This is a beautiful resort, weather you a coming for a leisure stay or an event or conference. The resort is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. Really, you just have to ask for what you want and they will accommodate if possible. Check in was very smooth, the rooms are very well kept, clean and comfortable. The price was quite good for the size of room. The views surrounding the hotel are breathtaking, 360 panorama of the blue ridge mountains. The food was fantastic and the staff extremely friendly and helpful."
