"This hotel looks very rough and parts are but I stayed in 106 and was really surprised. It was clean, fresh smelling and freshly renovated. The bed was comfortable it was quiet except for the semi with the Jake brake at 4:40am. The room had a new microwave and fridge with freezer. I was pleasantly surprised that the room had a smart tv so I was able to stream Netflix and Amazon. If I was a lady you might want to wait until they clean up the rest of the property but they are working on it. As a single guy that travels a lot I felt pretty safe. I normally stay in Marriott hotels mainly because they have smart tvs but I would stay there again. I hope they continue to improve on the property to make it look nicer. The people seemed very nice."

"A Marvelous Stay with the friendliest, knowledgeable couple as hosts. The home is beautiful, quiet and spacious, chock-full with antique furniture and a gorgeous sassafras tree as accompaniment. The couple were a wealth of knowledge about the area, it’s attractions and great food choices.. Finally, I ate the best blueberry muffin I’ve ever had!! I would highly recommend a stay at this quintessential Southern bed and breakfast Inn!! Elizabeth"

"If you are thinking of staying here, or ever get the chance to visit, I'd say one thing: Do it. We came over from England and absolutely loved a change from the usual tourist hotspots frequented by the Brits! There were three simple reasons for this: the hosts, the accommodation and the location. Scott and Ashley literally (and I use this word correctly) couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Their knowledge of the area enabled us to enjoy the stunning scenery (the views from the mountains are incredible and are only a short drive away). From there, you can enjoy hikes of varying difficulties (take water!) or, if you're feeling more adventurous, access the seemingly never-ending trails on a mountain bike or ATV. The town of Mena is relatively small (in American terms), but it has everything you need. We ate at The Ouachitas (pizza) and La Villa (Mexican) restaurants. They were both excellent: reasonably priced, superb service and great food. We stayed in Rider's Den - a small cabin in the manicured grounds of The Carriage House Inn. The bed was massive and comfy and the room was immaculately clean. We only stayed for two nights, which is the only negative aspect of our visit, and feel we merely scratched the surface of the area. What a place, what an experience!"
