"Overall I would say the standard of the hotels in Italy are slightly poorer than traveling elsewhere. The hotel felt more like a 3* than 4* Staff is polite and rooms look pretty much like the pictures, however, the bathrooms were not up to standard. There was no proper shower. No walls or doors to separate the shower from the rest of the bathroom/toilet and the whole room got wet when we showered. Cannigione is a very small town with a few shops and restaurants. Charming, but not much happening."

"We arrived at 23.00 and allocated our room . Which was small and dated. We had a huge balcony with a small view of the marina. Shower very small no room to move and one day no hot water. Breakfast , very limited. Cereal, seeds, dried fruit, usual cold cheese,ham, salad ,fatty bacon, frankfurters, fried eggs on one day only. Scrambled eggs which were hard and dry. bread, pastries. Dinner luke warm food. Salad and cold vegetable dishes, hot food served to you by miserable chefs, small portions and huffed at if you asked for more. Desserts large range at 7.30pm come 8.30pm these are not replenished to cater for late diners. Drinks are payable, only water free. Pool area very nice as in photo. Plenty of space and quality beds, pool freezing cold and steps into pool very wobbly to the point of being dangerous. There is a small pool connected to main pool for kids and another with a seating area to cool off. Joining these two areas are a set of tiled steps . The granite steps are fine but half way down is an area of white tiled steps which are extremely slippery. Several people lost their balance on these and im surprised there was no broken bones. Very dangerous. Pool side snack bar is ok. All drinks are added to your room and payable at check out. Toilets by pool are terrible. No locks on doors and no toilet seats . There are shower cubicles with glass doors which anyone walking in would see you. Hardly private. On day before we left we asked to keep Room on as we wasn't being picked up till 5.30pm. We was told a point blank NO. We had to leave room by 10am. When asked if anywhere to shower and change we was told to use poolside showers. We stated there was no locks on doors ,her response was get your partner to stand outside while you use them. Awful response. To sum up this hotel is most definitely not a 4 Star hotel, its 2 at most. It's dated, in need of lots of maintenance. Food needs to be greatly improved and staff given training in customer service. The biggest plus are location is great, pool area spacious."

"If you appreciate a really beautiful pool (2.5m deep) then check before you go! We spent a fortnight at this hotel and the pool was shut for half the days we were there. Sometimes because there was no lifeguard ,sometimes 'maintenance issues' . The lift in the hotel didn't work for the entire time we were there. Many of the things they promise are not delivered - there is no entertainment programme and the local parade of shops/ restaurants spa etc. are all closed down. If you aren't eating at the hotel you need a hire car. There are NO local restaurants or bars (except one excellent day time beach bar) . As all the reviews say this hotel is tired and badly in need of investment and smartening up. On the plus side it was quiet and comfortable and the sheets and towels were changed daily. the buffet breakfast was generous and comprehensive. They just need to pull their socks up , invest in updating the facilities , and to remember that people only have a one or two week holiday - so saying that the pool or lift may be repaired ' in a few days; is not fair or good enough."

"Hello, we had some initial problems with our stay at this hotel. The information on Trip.com is outdated. It took us an hour to find the hotel. The hotel's name, Hotel Li Graniti, is no longer valid, nor are the two addresses listed on Trip.com. Fortunately, two phone numbers were provided. The first number was no longer in service, but the second worked. When I tried calling, I was given the hotel name as Hotel Pedra Santa. The correct address is Località Pulicinu, 07021 Arzachena SS, Italy. Once we finally arrived, everything was fine. The rooms are adequately furnished, and the air conditioning works. Breakfast was very tasty."

"My husband and I spent 5 nights here at the beginning of our Sardinian vacation and we are so glad that we did. The place is gorgeous - built with local stone and many decorator touches using local handicrafts yet elegant and luxurious. The views over the bay below are terrific and it's just a short hop down the hill to the water by car. We kept marveling at the incredible smells! Jasmine and Tilleul... Lantana everywhere. It's just a drop-dead gorgeous place. We opted for one of the larger rooms which included their lovely made-to-order breakfast. Our package also included 2 30 minute spa treatments which we upgraded to 80 minute massages -both very enjoyable. The room had a Nespresso/tea machine which I love and lots of free mineral water. We had maid service twice daily and a couple of gifts were left in the room at different points. Every so often we could hear a cow lowing. On the way into town, we almost ran into a flock of goats one day and saw a hedgehog and a wild boar cross the road right in front of us on the way back one evening. Charming. The staff is very attentive and helpful for reservations, suggestions, directions for whatever you need. The restaurant is quite good and has a very capable sommelier who recommended some terrific local wines. Lovely views from the dining room or terrace. The pools are lovely and well-maintained as well. We did one of their boat trips one day to the Maddalena islands which was pricey but worth it. I was so glad not to have chosen a hotel right at Porto Cervo as that area was, albeit fun to spend a couple of evenings shopping and dining, quite artificial. Yet, we could drive there in about 20 minutes for dinner which we opted to do twice. (Confusion Restaurant and Myrto Gourmet Pizzeria are terrific). The hotel is very convenient for exploring the Costa Smeralda and surrounding area. It is not a huge property so everyone feels individually recognized. Mainly elegant well-to -do couples but a couple of families with well-behaved children as well. We would definitely stay there again"

Every detail felt considered, creating a sense of calm and understated luxury. And the sense of place was really strong. The property itself is simply stunning. Set within lush Mediterranean nature, with breathtaking views over the sea, it offers a rare feeling of privacy and tranquility. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and recharge. The food was another highlight. From breakfast to dinner, everything was of the highest quality — fresh, refined, and full of flavour. Each dining experience felt thoughtful and memorable. Chef Pasquale D’Ambrosio brings a refined, contemporary vision to Italian cuisine, while the pizzas by Franco Pepe remain a benchmark of craftsmanship, lightness and absolute respect for ingredients. We left feeling completely relaxed and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended."

"My companion and I chose this structure for our first time in the Costa Smeralda and we could not ask for better. The structure is beautiful, careful in every detail, elegant but at the same time welcome, you feel the love and care with which it was thought. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Lidia, who choked us every morning with dream breakfasts, abundant and very varied; for us who are goals, it was a pleasure to start the day like this! We did not know the area, we wanted to avoid the classic tourist paths and look for something more authentic. In this, they supported us with great support, and advised us to visit many wonderful places away from the most battered rounds and circuits. You have made us in love with the Smeralda Coast, we will certainly come back!"

Rooms: The rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated in a typical Sardinian style. The view from our balcony was simply stunning, with the sea stretching out to the horizon. Amenities: The hotel’s pool is a true gem, surrounded by lush greenery and offering incredible views of the sea. We spent many hours relaxing by the pool, enjoying the peace and quiet. The breakfast buffet was rich and varied, with options for all tastes, and the restaurant served delicious local cuisine. Staff: The hotel staff were exceptional, always friendly and ready to accommodate our every need. They provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and beaches to visit. Location: The hotel is conveniently located a short distance from the beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda and the picturesque villages of Cannigione and Arzachena. It is an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty of Sardinia. Conclusion: I highly recommend Hotel Micalosu to anyone seeking a relaxing holiday in an enchanting setting. We will definitely return in the future for another stay in this little piece of paradise."

"The hotel is very old; there's no elevator to get directly to your room; you have to climb stairs. We got a room overlooking a rock, so you couldn't see outside and hardly any light came in. They don't provide beach towels, meaning if you're flying in, you'll have to bring your own. We were given the option to pay €5 a day per towel. The TV is very old; it's not a smart TV, so you can only watch Italian channels, and it's very small. The double bed is two small beds pushed together, and the mattresses are old and not very comfortable. The bathroom is terrible, with no design, and a horrible smell of plumbing. The pool is quite small for the number of guests; some days there weren't even any free sunbeds. The photo doesn't show it, but the pool is colorful. There were quite a few insects. The only good things were probably the views and the terrace. The dinner was quite delicious, but small and expensive."

"We didn't like Porto Cervo at all. It was a city built by modern people from wasteland. It has no cultural foundation and gives people a fake feeling. The waiters' attitude is also hypocritical. The prices are extremely high, and the restaurant's food is not authentic. This dissatisfaction has affected our correct evaluation of this hotel. We do not recommend it."
