Hotel was clean and beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ms. Kusum was very kind and professional and even changed the room according to our need. Breakfast was with good spread as usual for JW standards. Only setback, too many guests. Crowded during breakfast and lobbies were filled with people due to weddings and events. Otherwise service, amenities and pool areas were all lovely. Satisfied, No regrets

*Review: One-Night Stay at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata* I recently stayed for one night at the Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata and would rate my overall experience as a 6 out of 10. The hotel has a lot going for it, especially in terms of its location and general ambiance, but there are also a few aspects that could use improvement. To begin with the positives, the hotel is situated in a very convenient and well-connected area. Being close to central Kolkata, it’s easy to access various parts of the city, whether for business or leisure. The immediate surroundings are pleasant and relatively peaceful, which added to the comfort of the stay. The room provided was decent—clean, well-organized, and equipped with the expected amenities for a four-star property. The bed was comfortable, and the room had adequate lighting and storage space. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly luxurious. In terms of comfort and upkeep, the room met my expectations. One feature I particularly appreciated was the hotel’s gym facility. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a decent range of equipment for a quick workout. For a short stay, it was more than sufficient and a welcome amenity for anyone looking to stay active while traveling. However, one significant downside was the dining experience. The biggest letdown was the limited food choices, especially in the set dinner menu. While the staff were polite and the service was timely, the menu lacked variety and felt quite restrictive. For a property of this category, I had expected a broader range of options, including some regional or seasonal specials. The lack of flexibility and limited appeal of the dinner options certainly took away from an otherwise comfortable stay. It might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but for those who enjoy exploring a hotel’s culinary offerings, this can be a sore point. My stay at DNG The Grand Hotel in Kanpur was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you’re in the city for business or leisure, this hotel offers the perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and top-tier hospitality that truly makes you feel at home — but with luxury. From the moment I arrived, the check-in process was smooth and welcoming. The staff was incredibly polite, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. They were quick to respond to any request and always greeted with a warm smile, which made the experience even more pleasant. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. Very friendly staff and good location. Although 3 stars is a bit high. It is rather 2,5 stars. Breakfast was a good start of the day, continental and Indian. Room was small and old, ac noisy. But who cares; you don’t go to Kolkata to stay in your room. On the roof was a terrace where you can eat and drink. All in all great stay. Will definitely come back next time

コルカタのザ・ピアレス・インに2泊しました。全体的に快適な滞在でした。 部屋とバスルームは素晴らしく、清潔で広々としていて快適でした。特にフロントのネハさんには感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。チェックインの時から大変親切に対応していただき、お部屋の手配も迅速にしていただきました。 特にソムナートさんには感謝しています。彼のホスピタリティは格別でした。彼の親切さとサービスには、「ありがとう」という言葉だけでは足りないほどの感謝の気持ちです。 本格的なベンガル料理を楽しめるアーヘリ・レストランにも足を運びました。どの料理も本当に美味しかったです。レストランマネージャーのサンジブさんはとても温かく、私たちを温かく迎え入れてくれました。 朝食は種類が豊富で美味しかったです。しかし、朝食レストランのスタッフはあまり礼儀正しくなく、歓迎の姿勢や笑顔が欠けていたため、朝のひとときが少し損なわれてしまいました。 朝食レストランのスタッフの態度を除けば、全体的に素晴らしい滞在でした。素晴らしいロケーション、快適な客室、そしてチームの主要メンバーによる素晴らしいおもてなしから、Peerless Inn をぜひお勧めします。

Good location for tourist spots but quite noisy if you don't like the constant noise of beeping horns from the nearby road (not sure if it is even possible to escape this in India). It did get better between say 10.30pm and 8am). The train (immediately outside the hotel entrance) screeches by but not frequently, boat engines can be heard in the distance but it's on a river 😅. It was a bit of a party boat on some nights (loud and late disco noise if there is an event). The noise stopped at around 9pm one night but went on much later on another night; if your room is close to the bar it may be an issue was wasn't too bad for me as i use ear plugs. The most irritating noise, believe it or not, is people shouting or having loud conversations in the corridors. The room is 3* and there is no safe for your passport, cash, cards etc. The pillows, bed covers and floors were't cleaned particularly well. I had to help myself to consumables from the corridor as they weren't topped up by cleaners. Anyway, a very brief stay could be a good experience, one night maybe.I am pleased to have had the experience and despite the shortfalls would probably recommend it as a one off unique experience, for one or two nights. The breakfast was very good with lovely river views and a chill atmosphere.

コルカタのホリデイ・インに1泊予約しました。チェンナイのホリデイ・インにも宿泊したことがあります。しかし、部屋の清潔さ、アメニティ、バスルームの設備、床の基準が低く、一部は消毒されていないように感じました。部屋の床も清潔さが欠けていました。 ベッドのシーツが破れていたので取り外すように頼んだところ、すぐに丁寧に交換してくれました。しかし、次の宿泊客のために部屋が良好な状態であるかどうかを確認する仕上げチェックには改善の余地があり、残念でした。 壁は光沢が欠けていました。それに、約62ユーロも支払いました。チェンナイなどの他のホリデイ・インの基準も確認する必要があるかもしれません。 注文した食事は美味しかったです。10点満点です。 しかし、ホリデイ・インというブランドと、コルカタで私たちが体験した食事には、大きなギャップがありました。 この件について、改善を期待します。
