「This is a very comfortable hotel situated in beautiful parkland. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the shower with its large diameter shower head that makes for a good shower. What spoilt my stay was the occupants in the room next to mine returned late at night and had their TV at such a loud volume that it was like being in a cinema. The walls between the rooms have no sound proofing.」

「I had a really wonderful time in the great location of Beechworth. From Beechworth I drove to other great points of interest namely Yackandandah and Bright. I walked along the Canyon Walk in Bright, followed along the Beechworth Gorge and the Woolshed Falls.
The Sambell Lake had a very good walking track around it. Both Beechworth and Yackandandah had great shops and eateries. The Armour Motor Inn was very central for my 3 day stay and the host was very helpful.」

Quietly located close to Lake Sambel for family fun with plenty of car parking and Kayak and bike storage.
The space
French Cottage is fully renovated with hydronic heating through out for the winter and air-conditioning and nice shaded verandah's to keep cool in the summer.
You have access to the entire self contained house which has three queen size bedrooms and two bathrooms, but please make sure you book for the correct number of guests as additional bedrooms may be locked if we don’t think you need them for your stay.
You also have exclusive use of our beautiful fully hedged quiet and serene French inspired garden, which is also available for small intimate private gatherings, including small weddings. Talk to us about this option if you are considering booking French Cottage and we can discuss further.
Take a look also at our sister property Ned Kelly’s Marlo Cottage on Airbnb Beechworth, which is a gorgeous fully renovated three bedroom home with great Ned Kelly’s history approx 800 metres from French Cottage. Our detached studio is cozy yet conveniently close to the main house, featuring an open-plan design with a luxuriously comfy king bed, a large-screen TV, and a dining area. The kitchenette is equipped with everything you might need: a microwave, a full-sized fridge, a toaster, an electric jug, and a selection of tea and coffee.
We welcome well-behaved dogs—just let us know when booking. If your dog has exceptional recall, they can roam freely by your side, but otherwise, we ask that they remain on a lead for the safety of our animals and your dog. We ask, please that you do not leave your dog alone in the studio, they must be with you at all times. We do not charge any extra for you to bring your pet. This makes your holiday more affordable without kennel fees and without the anguish of leaving your pet. Located along a designated tourist route on an unsealed gravel road, the area features interpretive signage sharing stories from the gold rush era and the infamous Kelly Gang. This is more than a destination—it’s a step into history.

What was once a family home passed down through generations has been lovingly restored to a stylish, welcoming country home.
Escape the hustle of the Beechworth town but be within a gorgeous 8 minute drive to all the attractions. Unwind in the peaceful and quaint historic Stanley township that is surrounded by apple orchids, walnut farms and berry picking.
Our home offers three queen bedrooms, one double bedroom and one single bedroom. There is plenty of room for the whole family with one cosy lounge area, and a large entertainment space. This home will comfortably accommodate 9 people so it is perfect for couples, families and friends.
The home boasts a fully equipped kitchen, and a newly renovated large bathroom with an exquisite claw foot bath. Several split systems keep the home at a comfortable temperature all year round. Enjoy one of our two warm fires to keep you cosy throughout winter.
You will be able to quickly unwind as you enjoy the scenic outdoor entertainment space whilst listening to the creek flowing and overlooking stunning liquid amber trees.
