"Spent a couple of days in this delightful hotel which if you like art has a wonderful collection of works curated by the owner, as well as lovely interiors. It’s like being in an art gallery with bedrooms behind doors. Good collection of books, too Yes, breakfast is not available but there are plenty of places nearby which means you can go at your own pace. Also appreciated being at the quieter end of the harbour. Hope to visit again"

"We were very pleased with our room ( number 7) on the top floor. It had a large very comfortable bed and the shower was powerful. We liked the view over the roof tops. The stairs are narrow though so not easily accessible to infirm guests. The continental breakfast was adequate and included in the price. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking behind the hotel was great when we eventually found it!!"

"Absolutely gorgeous hotel, room was lovely and spacious, spotless across the whole hotel, lovely bar and lounge area, breakfast was great, very tasty and plenty of choice, Tasha was the perfect host, so friendly and helpful as was Sarah and Harry, location is ideal but beach, views from room over marina was an added bonus, did find the stairs a bit steep at very top and couple of the bath towels had seen better days, a bit threadbare but otherwise we had a great 3 days so thank you to everyone at hotel"

"We were allocated room 001. This was immediately next door to reception and the interconnecting door for the ground floor rooms. The intercom to grant access to the guests from the entrance was attached to the wall that backed onto our bedroom wall. We checked in just before midnight. For the next couple of hours, the buzzer of the intercom was going constantly as guests arrived from their nights out having forgotten their access cards! Also, being on the ground floor, we seemed to be at the end of the waste water flow for a number of rooms above us. Every flush and shower from these rooms seemed to flow behind our bedroom wall! There was also a constant whirring of an electrical pump throughout the early hours but I couldn’t place where this was coming from. My sleep app told me that I achieved a total of almost two hours sleep in the 6-7 hours we were in the room. I would have raised the issues with reception but they weren’t available when I checked out. I didn’t bother waiting as there were a number of people waiting to either check in or checkout. I stay on travelodge’s regularly and will continue to do so. But sadly, this is the worst experience I have had . I cannot therefore recommend this hotel based on my experience. Not being on the ground floor may have brought a different experience but that should not make any difference."

The staff were very friendly and there was a good choice at breakfast with hot options cooked to order. There is a large carpark. Highly recommended!"

"San Clu Hotel is a very nice cost line hotel nearby all windows have a TV view to the sea except from the back side of the building. There is parking spaces outside front side and the back of the hotel. No parking restrictions. Walking distance the park and shore. Makes it altogether a perfect place for any summer holiday! Staff are very very helpful and always are happy to help! 😊🌹🙏🏼"

"I had a pleasant stay here with two friends for one night. Our rooms were at the top of the hotel (very steep stairs so wouldn’t be ideal for elderly people or anybody that would struggle to carry their bags) Nice sized rooms with comfortable beds. The linen used for the beds were of good quality too. Clean room and clean bathroom. We visited on the hottest day of the year so far, so the rooms were extremely hot. But the owner kindly gave us some fans to use. We were able to open two windows which helped cool the room down in the evening. This really was a quick stay as we arrived quite late in the evening and left the hotel at around 7am. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on what that was like. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for our one night stopover."
